UPDATE

We! Are! Married!!

Our wedding day was 2/22/22 and it was the PERFECT day. Here's just a few snapshots from family and friends.

We are over the moon, and ready to begin the next chapter together. We've spent a lot of time reminiscing about our beginnings in an LDR. How far we've come and grown. I wouldn't change our story for anything. I hope our journey can be an encouragement to other LDR couples working so hard to close the gap.

This year has thrown a lot of struggles at us. My dog passed away, my grandma passed away, and storms severely damaged my family's home. We are all living with my grandpa until our home is repaired. And it's taking a long while.

But in between the hard times, there's been a lot of joy! We are preparing for our wedding, which is only 5 months away, and we couldn't be more excited. We got to attend our very good friend's wedding this year, and also take some great little vacations here and there.

Every day, I'm grateful for the fact that we have one another. And for the fact that the distance has been closed. This time of my life would be so much harder to deal with if I didn't have the love of my life here with me.

We're so so blessed to be with one another, and to be on this marriage path. Five years ago, we were tentative to start an LDR. But we tried it anyway, because we cared about one another so much. I'm so glad for everything we've been through together, and so excited for everything to come. LDR is worth it, to be with the one you love.
