Since I never actually posted their official profiles, here are their profiles & assets for @season40! Once again, art for both by @rockwgooglyeyes, he does lots of amazing oc art over on his blog!

Yael and Naz have both lost people very dear to them (Akane @aakaneeee & Macbeth @alien-til-i-stage, respectively) shortly before their season and are dealing with the fallout as they hit the stage. Their closest confidants at the time of S40 are Can @14-alc (warily reciprocated) and Inna (wildly one-sided) for Yael and Wren @ivanttakethis (Naz likes to act like it's one-sided) for Naz

By S40, they share a guardian, Guardian Ebej. Naz was Ebej's first pet human and he was intrigued by her outbursts and uncontrollable fluxes of emotion. He purchased Yael after Yael's guardian sold them, exhausted of having to deal with Yael's strange and morbid behaviors. Ebej further encouraged Yael's mental illness and fueled his delusions by sending him on a "mission" after graduation from Anakt Garden to spread the word about the Great Anakt, which Yael claims to have seen firsthand from two near-death experiences (one when they were a small child and tried to end their own life by drowning themselves, only saved by Can; then again before graduation when they acquired a bad concussion in a physical fight with Inna).

idk why im creating paragraphs because this is already so long that this is more of a journal than something yall would gaf about but hey. you dont even know where the network would START. sun energy and like fusion and helium. sure. big bang. how did that happen? 2 black holes and a lot of energy. where did the energy come from? the concept of quantum uncertainty which "allows energy to be formed literally from nowhere" what. wtf. are we real. how does that work. i mean theres a wikipedia article explaining it but im not a wuantum mechanist im a random teen created from stardust or something. also im moving so its hard to read an ultimately subjective article that ik states something about plancks constant which immediately brings me flashbacks of chem.

anyways subjectivity leads me to my next point as im rapidly diverging from my other points! subjectivity. everything is subjective because (ithink) there isnt an omniscient being that can record everything as it really is. and an omniscient being isnt objective. knowledge vs application and linguistic phrasing of concepts is very different. is my blue your blue? what about a dogs vision? my experience is infinitely different from yours but so easily lumped together to create a common state of being. in terms of humans we have brains! they make subjectivity go brrr. theyre so easily affected by things which is so easily affected by things and on and on. technically speaking since you can scan a brain and see how it acts currently as well as look at itis history to see how it turned out that way. to an extent you can predict what someone will do based on that information, it works the same with physics, so TO AN EXTENT everything is predictable. hey but guess what. once you get to a certain scale a nice thing called entropy exists. which is in simple terms unpredictability. weird.

that brings me to the concept of determinism and other universes! if something is random that means an other event could have happened. this also applies to morals and ethics. saying you shouldve or couldve done something differently, like studying or helping someone, means that choice DID exist and therefore free will exists. also other universes. theres also a theory this universe was formed because 2 other universes merged. i need to look into that. another thing about universes is how variable they are. physics and what we know to be true could be completely false somrwhere else.

Oh, there's a face she had seen at parties. Ava had a beauty that felt serene. Like the ocean Maya heard about, in a way. But there was always the sense that something wasn't...right. Ava never looked fully aware of present at the parties. She still looks almost...empty, even at in the garden. [Ava by @tinypaperstars ]

Maya heard murmuring and let her eyes fall on a duo. They seemed to be be rather smitten wit each other...it was rather adorable, to say the least. The red-haired girl seemed to be the quiter of the two, and seemed to always be...uneasy. Nonetheless, she visibly enjoyed being around the other girl.[Cinnabar by @everpresent-neverending ]

The girl, with her lilac hair, clinged onto the redhead with pure affection. She smiled and rambled, though Maya wasn't close enough to decipher any of it. She was the more outgoing of the two, she could tell tha much...opposites really do attract, huh?[Yuna by @starry-skiez ]

...and there's another couple. At least, Maya thinks they are. They seemed to be opposites too, almost like night and day. They were both...beautiful. One had raven black hair and seemed to keep to herself as far as Maya could tell. She seemed almost nervous but didn'thate the fact that the other girl stuck by her so much.[Isla by @nottoonedin ]

The other one seemed very taken by the raven-haired girl. She smiled wide and Maya swore, she could almost see heart-eyes. Bright and willing to give out her love openly...romantic, but sometimes overwhelming. Maybe that was what was happening. [ Monica by @nottoonedin ]

...Why does that kid remind Maya of a squid? She doesn't even know how or why, but that boy who was sat by himself, with pink hair, a streak of black running through it, remind her of a squid. He looked to be shy, quiet...but he didn't look dangerous. What a sweet kid. [Kune by @pengugu09 ]

His reaction to Flor and Ellie's death, with Vera's disappearance? lmao you didn't because even writing out Nyx's rounds has been time consuming as hell anyways here's Dian's reaction to Round 12!

Never did Dian ever expect to see Flor's guts spill on the stage. Not that he ever really expected such a thing from anyone but Flor, the lovely fool? They wore their ego so flippantly, it was if it didn't exist at all, they laughed along with every joke made in their expense. Every slight was water off of a duck's back with Flor, her laughter as jubilant and bright as fizzy soda, Dian thought that she had the win in the bag.

When Ellie's body crumpled to the ground, her red hair blending into the pool of blood as if it were cut from the same cloth, Dian couldn't help but laugh. The sound bubbling up out of his throat, his head in his hands as he sat in his dressing room in a theatre however far away from one so similar, one with two dead bodies and one newly wanted by the law. He hadn't even taken the night off for this, still in his stage clothes, makeup running from the tears budding at the corners of his eyes and running down his cheeks as he sobbed. Dian hadn't even known Ellie well, he shouldn't be crying (he shouldn't be laughing) but Flor was splayed on the floor, too, their limbs in all the wrong directions and a stretched-wide smile forever painted on their face.

Flor was the jester, it didn't make sense, she wasn't supposed to die. Maybe this was just another subversion of expectations. Just like when Flor smiled cryptically at him when he pointed out that it was kind of strange that they were painting their face green for a performance when the rest of their skin was still obviously a warm shade of beige. She waved off his ministrations, batting his hands away even as he fixed the seams on her sleeves, laughing when he threatened to poke her with the pins. She made the whole thing herself, of course, he was just helping with the littler things that she'd said she couldn't get quite right.

"My hands just can't stop shaking," she told him, laughing and rolling her eyes. Maybe he should've read into her words, the way her laugh was brittle at the edges but he'd been so happy to see her that he didn't even register the trembling fear that swirled in her eyes.

Maybe he should've known that something would go wrong. An assassination on stage. Everyone evacuated (again) and the contestants sent to Anakt for surveillance under the guise of safekeeping. He wouldn't be able to see Himei before her next round (he wouldn't be able to see her ever again). He wouldn't be able to see Nyx before his bout against Cas, before he fought for his life on stage against his older brother.

Dian's shoulders shook as he cried harder, announcer's voice still blaring over the speakers as his despair was illuminated by the light of the livestream.

Alright so I did some digging on him before I answered this (that's why i took so long 😅) and here are my (really, Yuna's) thoughts!!!

Yuna finds Asuka to be a fun person! She's interested by the way he likes to mess with people and she would join him in his mischievous antics tbh >:) because of how outspoken (as you put it, loud and obnoxious) he is, I think Yuna would take some of that into her personality. Not quite loud or obnoxious, just more confident seeming and talkative. In her persona, at least. She thinks that he is what a "normal" person is like so she definently copies some of his mannerisms (she may also. be autistic..probably) They could go hunting for shiny things together :3 Yuna would bring Cinna with her ofc but I don't think she'd hate having another friend who gets her. Also she stares at him. They stare a lot
