Without the spotlight

Consigliere feels very elegant and proper to me, so I made his line art more neat!

This also counts as his more detailed design from me, though, I like to draw him with some fluff on his neck and with a cape or cloak thing. The cape is from my friend’s cosplay of him.

Some thoughts on Consigliere too! Like Contractee’s coloured piece!!

Consigliere enjoys art in many branches, like drawing, sewing and maybe knitting. Alongside this, he loves fashion and used to work as a jeweller, which is why I gave him the long gloves and gold. His face crest (is that the name?) also not apart of his skin, it’s actually just gold, like a hat or tiara kind of, but closer to your face! A helmet might be a better description of it.

I like to imagine Contractee has wraps at the bottom of his gloves! Makes him feel like some kind of boxer. As well as that his tie is often dishevelled and worn, he forgets to correct it a lot, usually Consigliere fixes it.

Getting sick three times in a row, doing exams, dealing with incidents in my friend groups

It tends to affect how often I can draw! :(

Some silly thoughts I have about them for now!

I haven’t drawn it but I do want to have a comic on how they start dating. Plus how I see their dynamic, as I find them pretty cute, they’re one of the only ships I’ve actually grown fond of in something I enjoy!

Caporegime was actually the first to fall, long before Soldier. Soldier also never realised he viewed Caporegime even as a friend at first, Soldier was neutral to Caporegime due to the power dynamic, in his head, yes, Caporegime is a friend, but he would never phrase it like that. Caporegime would also try to stay formal and not bother Solider with his feelings.

Although, they start talking about their crushes with their coworkers and Contractee (who is the one talking to Caporegime), despite not being told or hinted, realises it’s Soldier that he likes. Contractee would be very supportive in my mind, as he’s underneath the two in terms of power but always joked with other mafia members at his level on who in the higher ranks would make good pairings.

Soldier would end up telling Mafioso, as Mafioso realises Soldier has started to fall behind as one of his best men in Soldier’s line of work and pulls Soldier into his office to talk about this. Soldier wouldn’t realise it was love at first, but he would probably say things like how Caporegime recently has felt very distracting and alluring but he can’t tell why, I feel like Soldier would feel bad about falling in love actually; Thinking that he was becoming a liability for the mafia.

When they are together, I like to think Soldier is suddenly a lot more comfortable once he adjusts and realises “Hey! This guy REALLY does love me! WTF! I LOVE HIM TOO!!”

I like to think that Caporegime tries to stay on the objective a lot but Soldier distracts him, kinda like rage baiting but with affection and love by flustering Caporegime or making the man snap and try to kiss or shake Soldier for being too flirty or cute.

Maybe Soldier is very caring and soft, despite being so hard on some debtors or rival mafias. He wants to keep everyone with him safe, even if he needs to take some blows, Caporegime doesn’t like this, as he feels responsible for Soldier’s safety as a leader.

I think Caporegime often zones out while watching Soldier behind his sunglasses and Consigliere is often the one who notices that Caporegime started to stare. Alongside this, Soldier gets cuteness aggression (I think the word is gigil?) when staring at Caporegime for too long, even if it’s Caporegime doing something mundane, like making coffee or dealing with paperwork.

I also enjoy if maybe Soldier’s first language is Russian, but then learns English and starts to forget some Russian since he needs English more for his friends and work (This happened to my polish friend! I actually think of this friend very similar to Soldier or Contractee when I think of the mafia.), so he sometimes can forget the English word for something but remembers the Russian word, and the other way around. Caporegime helps him with this, as he has one of the highest vocabularies in the mafia, alongside Mafioso and Consigliere. They both have it because they need to learn more words for caution in contracts with other people.

I think it’d be funny if Consigliere hasn’t been in many relationships, despite being perhaps flirty or very attractive to most people, so he doesn’t have experience, but he also has a lot of dating advice due to everyone coming to him and complaining about their various relationships, causing him to learn a lot.

It’s not how I wanted and rather simple, but I threw up recently so I can’t do anything that’s too much..

I like to imagine that Caporegime had a close call on his right eye, like a bullet skimmed him. For Contractee, maybe when he was a kid, he was hectic and hit his head on the edge of a glass table.

If I am honest I did not like how I drew his scar, it is only roughly how I imagine it. I like to think that it has ripped some of his lip away, so if he smiles too wide, like unnecessarily wide, you can see his teeth. (Yes, he drools because of it as well sometimes.)

[I want to add, he used to cover it lots due to being insecure, but he has gotten more comfortable now with the rest of the mafia.]

[I enjoy writing about scars as I have some myself, and my face is partially deformed, not lots or anything but I always spot the difference of my face because it makes it asymmetrical and it upsets me. I like to write in case someone has the same issue, so they can have something to relate to! And it comforts me as well.]
