I do personally think that Han Seok was just a very vulnerable evil fuck for everything he's done and how sensitive he'd been to the struggle he was put in all throughout the show, who the hell throws tantrums better than a grown man and the CEO of babel like Han Seok himself ? It's overall just hilarious because he ended up playing a role in the stage he directed, not that he wanted to— he needed to all because of Han Seo.

At some point I often revolved his character around the concept of dehumanization for the way he is because come on— isn't that the point? The man's a psychopath and a murderer, literally almost everyone despised him, minus Miss Choi. Buddy, Han Seok's character screams immature lunatic who'll never get over his own mistakes and unfortunately his brother whom he killed; without the intent. I firmly believed that even after he murdered Han Seo, he was grieving inside that car but unfortunately because of all the shitshow that was happening; he didn't have the time.

If Han Seok had the privilege at that time, at any moment inside of his villa or wherever the fuck he planned to hide in— Han Seok really would have mourned him then, another version of his.

Your point about him ending up on the stage too/giving up his Super Secret Operate from the Shadows BS (and because of Han Seo 😭) - that actually was so funny. Like going through law school, suffering as an intern!! Gone all because of Han Seo! (Also unrelated but I remember Cha Young's comment about how he couldn't stay an intern forever, and the time when he was forced to make 1200 copies of paperwork, and when he was working on something dumb (DEER LAW). Say he won in the end - what is left for Han Seok to go back to? Say he still has Babel - you cannot convince me he wouldn't feel Han Seo's absence like a phantom limb. That he wouldn't turn around sometimes and expect Han Seo to be there, trailing behind him as always, only for reality to set in.

Han Seok killed him, but like always, it was the uncontrollable anger that seemed to make his decisions for him. Even after everything, he didn't want Han Seo dead.
