Dude that's what I think too! Like who even says such lines like "you're my achilles heel" to someone?? I think that makes it extra tragic too, Han Seok expressing his love, in his opinion quite clearly too, but Han Seo is just Not Having it. Maybe if they were more "normal" brothers, things would've been different, but alas. Also!! Sometimes I wonder how Han Seok viewed their brotherly relationship? I can see him being delusional and thinking that he is being a good brother?? Like he could've just killed him (many times over!) but instead he lets him share in the family wealth and gives him so many chances. He doesn't seem to hold Han Seo's background/being the proof of their father's infidelity against him either?? Iirc, the times when he's mad at Han Seo are when Han Seo dares think for himself.
(he's just a babygirl, said delusionally). Dude his tantrums!! Just the way he went about in the world! It was giving manchild haha
Your point about him ending up on the stage too/giving up his Super Secret Operate from the Shadows BS (and because of Han Seo 😭) - that actually was so funny. Like going through law school, suffering as an intern!! Gone all because of Han Seo! (Also unrelated but I remember Cha Young's comment about how he couldn't stay an intern forever, and the time when he was forced to make 1200 copies of paperwork, and when he was working on something dumb (DEER LAW). Like was he just stuck as an intern, unpaid and overworked?? Idk what companies give interns separate offices, so his big ass was just stuck sitting behind that tiny desk. UGH. Extra insane also to think about his performance reviews lol!!!)
And yes omg, he's constantly dehumanized by almost everyone in the show! Though one thing I do remember (and it makes me insane. Haha.) is when Han Seo's talking about how if their father actually punished Han Seok/stop letting him run away, then maybe Han Seok would've been better. Just. ARGH.
Dude, the tear in the car - I do believe my man was going through it. Also it was def sad but also kinda funny, because this guy, just episodes ago, was like family 🤪 what's that? Who cares about that? Like my man, as if you aren't extremely bitter and upset over your father and how he treated your mother? Or how you asked Han Seo to be on your side, even after he betrayed you multiple times, only to have to kill him with your own hands? It was embarrassing fr
(also post canon AU where he does make it to Mexico and has to live with killing Han Seo haha)
But it's definitely something interesting to think about. Would Han Seok grieve? What would that look like for him?
Anyways. Sorry for the text wall dump haha!! I'm also super insanely crazy about them!!! I ended up joining the fandom kinda late (late 2023/2024), and it was like most of the party was gone 😭 There's still a few of us around (thank God!!!) but it's been tuff out here in the mines!
