100 Digimon Characters

100 Digimon Characters (with link to larger version).

I started this project a year ago. (My first post was March 21, 2012.) I drew 100 characters, then scanned them, lined them in Manga Studio, and colored them in Gimp. I used a laptop touchpad mouse, for what it's worth, to do the latter steps since I do not own a tablet.

I started posting it here where it was public so that I'd feel more pressure to finish it. And if you've been following me or have ever liked or reblogged my posts can I just say thank you so much you awesome, awesome people. Thank you for putting up with me and being so encouraging because I couldn't have reached my goal without you!

A special thank you to Trold, Sam, and Fence for being such supportive friends. And another special thank you to Camel, Emerson, and Exploritoriia for being such awesome friends that you're following this blog even though you're not Digimon fans. And thank you to facebookcomsavoanp for making my day a lot. :D

(Oh yes I'm going all award speechy on you guys. Sorry... I've had a whole year to rack up things to say about this.)

Anyway! What am I going to do next? Well, I'll be starting a new tumblr for more generic stuff, less digimon-art-specific stuff. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep this one as is or make it an art blog.

I won't be starting up any more big projects right away, but I'll probably go back to writing for a while. (I have a story I like to work on, and a Digimon fan comic for when I feel like drawing. These may or may not be posted anywhere close to publicly.) Before that though, I have a challenge from Fence that I need to complete, and I've got some outstanding requests that I'd like to honor.

I'd also really really like to show my appreciation to everyone who's been following me up until now. Since I have some requests to do anyway, I'm going to go ahead and say if you're following me now, and you're interested (sheesh some of you are amazing artists so I'm mystified that you're here) it would be my pleasure to draw something for you. Whatever you like--digimon, not digimon, anything.

So the sizes on these are wildly inconsistent right now because deviantart and tumblr scale by width and I scaled by height.

Um, blue is really big so the preview image may not work, but there should still be a click-through link.

Sorry for the crappy jpeg quality on these. I'll see about getting better versions later.

I'm beginning to put them all together.
