Was Suzie raised by humans? Like in the way Kris was raised only around monsters?

There's a few hints to this I think, but the main one to me is Suzie's tail. Like, a ton of monsters have tails. It is super common for monsters to have tails. But Suzie is SUPER self-conscious about having one? And it kind feels like? Maybe she was the only one with a tail? Where she grew up?
