1001 truths about Chase

I had a weaboo phase where my friends and I would argue a bit about which characters from different anime we’d get together with. I also wanted to seriously learn Japanese (not just using “kawaii desu” and “sugoi” and “baka” all the time) and wanted to move to Japan. Topped with wanting to be a manga creator… My interests have changed a bit and I wouldn’t still mind learning some Japanese, but I’d rather just visit Japan than live there. And learning the hellish schedule of a manga-ka, there’s no way in hell I would deal with that…

I have had a panic attack while being dragged onto a ferris wheel a few years ago and ended up crying. After calming down a bit while we were in line, the guy who was controlling the ride didn't make things better by saying they're not built all that well and that made me start tearing up more.

I have a fear of heights all thanks to a very odd nightmare I had when I was a kid about falling over the railing at a local mall and the fall was much longer than it should have been. This also extends to those stairs that have gaps between them where you can see through them and I've had panic attacks trying to walk up them. I've gotten better but they still freak me out and I can't walk up too many of them.

I own glasses that weren't actually prescribed for me but they work for when I actually need glasses.

When I was younger, I watched something about aliens then heard something rustling around outside, freaked out, ran to my room (which, at the time, I shared with my mom) and cried because I thought that there were aliens and that they were coming to get me.

I'd like to believe that I've changed at least a little over the past year for the better but I genuinely haven't the foggiest if I have or not.

I wouldn't mind getting married and, somewhere down the line, having a kid or two

I want to move out of New Jersey and I have a few different states in mind. Mainly I want to move because I just want the independence away from any member from my family and to make my own choices without having at least four people breathing down my back

I have my own car but I have no job, so I don't really go out anywhere because I don't usually have money for gas.

I usually hate talking on the phone. There are a few people outside of my family who I'll talk to but it's usually better to text me or messages me on Skype or some such.

I like sleep... a lot. To the point where I can sleep for a whole day (like, go to bed at around 11 or so at night and get up at 4 in the afternoon)

I have a terrible habit at picking at my hangnails... so much so that sometimes they end up bleeding.

(these really should actually be facts and not truths, but eh) I am a only child and the family that I have currently includes: mom, dad, grandfather, uncles, aunts (and a future aunt), and some cousins. As far as how many of the last three, I haven't the foggiest >.>;

I am currently 22 years of age and my birthday is January 1st, 1991, thus making me a New Year's baby.

The origin of Chase: It came from a show called Fighting Foodon that aired on Fox Kids/FoxBox/whatever. There's no real meaning behind why I chose it other than I liked the aesthetic of the name. I've had this name since about 2002, so it's been roughly 11 years (or, at this point, half of my life)

To start off easy, small facts about me: I'm Michelle. Full name's Michelle Lynn Dominick. I usually go by the handle of Chase online and it's carried over to some offline friends. I am rather indifferent as to what people call me, but I usually think it's easier to remember Chase than it is my own name. And, I usually think it's a bit odd to actually hear my birth name.

Is to essentially tell you about myself. It'll start off with basic facts that everyone knows then it'll get into more detailed things about me. I'm not sugar coating anything and things that I will say will prob'ly hurt some of you. I apologize in advance if that's the case, but these things are truths and sometimes the truth is hard to swallow. This may not be necessarily 1001 truths, but I'll try to see how many I can post here. I'll try for about two a day in the queue and I'll have a bunch of basic stuff up to post for the time being. I'll also try and tag/label each post with what number truth they are. Things like "truth X" or something along those lines so I can keep track of how many there are.
