what she means: it's no wonder asuma is the one the guys least want to make a move, he's perfect for kae. he's always loved her for who she is rather than being drawn in by her looks (with the exception of nishina) and just wasnt aware of it. he always happily goes along with the silly things she gets excited about. he's always so kind and gentle and compassionate towards her and always looks after her. when kae's brother was being an ass about her interests? asuma politely told him to fuck off for her. when kae said she would date whoever beat her in some random videogame? he took it upon himself to win not so he could have his chance but to stop her from rushing into something she wasnt sure about, something none of the other candidates would have thought of. he does his best for her and even promised to protect her no matter what, a very romantic thing to do in japanese culture. he was the first to realize takeru's shadiness at faking illness to take advantage of kae and confronted him about it; and despite everything that happened here he is falling off a damn cliff and getting himself hospitalized to protect that man; not because he forgives what he did but because he didnt want kae to get hurt trying to save him and he knows despite everything kae cares for her childhood friend and would be torn if something happened to him. asuma mutsumi is the real MVP and belongs with kae serinuma, i could go on for hours about how perfect they are. it'd be a damn waste if he seriously lost to igarashi just for being the senpai character.
