- He’s just like below casual PDA, holding hands is fine but I feel like kissing would be thin ice

- Probably wouldn’t show PDA in a crowded room mostly because he’s worried someone might sneak up on him and you (but mostly you)

- Doesn’t check nor use social media too often, he only uses his phone to call

- (Personal headcanon of mine is that he switch phones every so often so whenever he calls you, you have to try and find out if the person you’re calling is another scammer/spammer or not)

- Dates with him in public are mostly library or cafe dates

- If you’re up for fancy he could also do a restaurant (but he’ll probably be into more casual dates)

- During library dates, you guys would pick out book you both like and read it in silent together

- Sometimes you guys would glance at each other and switch books to see what the others are reading

- He would probably share scenes he likes from his mangas or books and you’ll do the same

- Other times (for fun, not as an attack on you) he’ll probably question you about his books to see if you’re listening

- He would pay for the gifts he gives you (he’s not broke)

- For matching outfits, those are strictly at home. He is not going out wearing matching outfits with you for the sake of your safety

- But you’ll guys have matching bookmarks, so whenever he’s reading a manga your customized bookmark is just there

- A little cute addition is that the bookmark can be open up and in it there will be a cute little message. So whenever he’s reading, he’ll see the message and think of you

- (If you guys are REALLY into the relationship then that bookmark is like a motivational message for him)

In private

- Pulls up to your house with random gifts sometimes

- He does go to your house when he’s tired too

- Your house is mostly clean with him around (it doesn’t matter if you’re a messy person or not)

- Even when he crash on the couch out of exhaustion and flings his coat/clothes on the floor, he’ll definitely clean it up later

- He’s willing to clean up for you when he’s there

- At first you bought an empty bookshelf’s for him and you, thinking it wouldn’t fill up that much since Chrollo is busy most of the time

- After months and months the bookshelf slowly starts piling up with books that you both like

- Whenever you do something at home like cleaning, cooking, drawing, or any other hobbies, Chrollo use those sounds as background noise for him as he reads

- Chrollo will cuddle with you at night if you want it, he’ll be gone in the morning though

- If he’s not gone in the morning, he’ll be gone at night and you probably won’t see him again until a few weeks or months later, who knows

- He can cook at home, unless he’s too exhausted then he lives off of your homemade meals (or frozen meals if you can’t cook)

- I wouldn’t say Chrollo is a master chef, he just cooks the basic like eggs and rice with soy sauce

- Chrollo can definitely cook more food if he tried but his occupation limits him to a few quick meals at times

- Is very loving to you in your own home, he also don’t mind stay at home dates and would probably be comfortable with it

General Relationship

- Now when I say loving it’s a very different kind, I would even go to say he mask himself to look like the perfect lover for you sometimes, even when he doesn’t realize it

- This isn’t a way to say that he’s incapable of loving you, it’s just hard for him to show who he is or how he actually loves. So instead of the possibility hurting your feelings on accident, he mask himself to not hurt you (it’s not on purpose too)

- If he cares about the troupe a lot, him caring for you also says a lot

- But that doesn’t mean he won’t be the same as he is with the troupe

- He’ll definitely try to act nonchalant when something is clearly wrong, and it feels like you can’t talk to him because sometimes he’ll dismiss it

- At some point you’ll guys will get into an argument (well it’s mostly you that would probably argue)

- Chrollo will try to reason with you but if it doesn’t stop then he’ll probably leave for you to cool down to talk

- Just like everyone else, the troupe is top priority, not you (as unfortunate as it is)

- If you show even signs of being a threat to the troupe he will immediately be weary of you (but also it’s not like you can do anything unless you have nen or is extremely strong)

- He’s also hesitant at first, maybe trying to persuade you out of it

- But if you keep on saying that the troupe is terrible and he knows that you’re going to plan on doing something to them, he WILL get rid of you

- He will be upset about it though

- Chrollo is very perceptive of your feelings, he will try to help your needs most of the time (often forgetting his needs/wants in the process)

- Even if it’s something you said from several months ago, he’ll still remember and get you it the moment the stuff that you want comes out

What if you are in the phantom troupe?

- You guys would bump into each other while revisiting your favorite spots

- If chrollo has free time, he’ll spend that time with you having dates or doing whatever

- During meetings, you guys stand far apart just because it’s respectful (+ he’s your boss)

- After the meeting, and you guys are still there just waiting for the plan to be put into action, you can stand more closely towards him (though others may notice and sometimes poke fun at you)

- Whatever your power is, you still have a role in the troupe so you aren’t really with Chrollo 24/7 but whenever he needs to go with someone, he does pick you (often but not all the time)

- Unless you’re physically weak and is a support type of person, then you’ll probably be with the other strong troupe members or directly behind them/him during battles

- After the successful heist you all have fun! You guys don’t really get your private moment until every single troupe members leave

What if you aren’t in the phantom troupe?

- The first thing you would know about him is that he is in a phantom troupe

- If you don’t like it, well it’s safe to say that either you’re gone for good, or he knows you can’t really do anything about it and won’t do anything about it so he leaves you be

- If you stay with him then most of the relationship you guys had stay the same

- Except this time he’ll probably be more cautious about what he says and hides more of his true feelings

- At some point he will tell you about his past but he doesn’t expect you to empathize with how he felt or what he went through

- Basically just be kind and patient with him, I think that’s what he needs most right now

- He’s casual with PDA but make sure it’s not too much

- He’s mostly worried about people going after you because you were seen with him

- Probably doesn’t even use social media and only uses his phone whenever he needs to search something up or to call

- Dates with him in public consists of you two being alone most of the time

- You both could either be on the grass looking at the sky while exchanging alcohol as a date

- You guys could even have walking trips under the starry nights or grocery trips in the morning and it’ll still be fun with him around

- Would steal stuff for you because he’s highkey broke

- One time he probably got scammed trying to get a gift for you (after he found out he hunted the scammer down)

- He wouldn’t match clothes with you, but handmade knots or accessories for his katana is a must

- He will adore that piece of accessory and will get upset if it’s broken or if he lost it

In private

- Crashes at your house most of the time because he don’t got that money for an actual house/apartment

- If you locked your door he would probably break in and stay there until you came home

- Either that, or if he’s not close to your house he’ll probably sleep on the bench or smth (or break into other people houses but that would be too much of a hassle for him personally)

- Your home is kinda messy with him around

- Sometimes he puts his clothes anywhere because he’s tired

- His shampoos are misplaced everywhere (aka on the floor, sink, or even the towel hanger) just because it’s more convenient for him to reach when he’s showering

- Personal headcanon that he uses a lot of shampoo to keep his hair nice but even without it, his hair would be nice either way

- He skipped like a day or two of shower before and it’s still shining (but he stinks though)

- Sleeps in with you most of the time

- You guys would start out cuddling just to end up in a jigsaw position in the morning

- He would DIG your homemade meals (doesn’t even matter if it taste a little bad or if it’s just a bit burnt)

- If you can’t cook he’ll order take out for the both of you

- Nobunaga can make a simple meal, like maybe boiled chicken with rice…

- He is a sore loser at games sometime, would get mad if he lost (especially at board games)

General Relationships

- He puts his hair down more often when it’s just the both of you

- You can even braid or style his hair

- Won’t text you when he comes by your house but you’ll know it’s him once you come home

- You both are arguing? Well good luck because it definitely won’t die down until a few hours later!

- The only time he’ll stop arguing is when he realizes he he argument is going nowhere and goes off to be alone (he’ll talk to you about it later dw)

- And if you’re the type to back down once he makes you upset and you’re still mad at him, honestly he’ll at least calm down and try to talk to you

- He’s pretty upfront with you about what he wants, but also not at the same time

- Will subtly hint to you what he wants (as either gifts or like what he wants you to do) except it’s not subtle at all

- If something happens to him, he’ll probably stay silent about it

- He wouldn’t want to worry you and as much as he’s open about his emotions, his problems? Not so much

- If you keep on edging him to tell you, he will get upset

- It’s better to just leave him be and let him tell you when he wants to

What if you are in the phantom troupe?

- If you guys are separated, you guys would probably meet each other while walking on the streets sometimes

- Or maybe he’ll just spend time with you before he goes do whatever he does in his free time

- During meetings, Nobunaga stands directly next to you and btw everyone notices it, they just dgaf

- In missions, if you both are paired up then Nobunaga would be a bit more protective over you even if you’re strong

- If you guys aren’t paired up then he would get a bit nervous but he trusts you so it doesn’t get to him too much

- Even if you aren’t as strong or not with him, he also trust others to aid you

- After a successful mission, you both would drink beer with the other troupe members but would probably have your alone time at one point

What if you aren’t in the phantom troupe?

- He would either feel bad or wrong to not tell you about what he does for a living

- At some point he will tell you about the phantom troupe but the outcome depends on your reaction

- If you go against the phantom troupe and will rat him out, he’ll have no choice but to get rid of you

- If you’re okay with him or like disagree but will still love him either way (he might shock by that reaction) he’ll still stay with you

- The relationship would probably stay the same as it always has been, as long as you accept him for who he is, he’s willing to stay with you

- Though he might not tell you about what happened to the troupe years ago because he would think you wouldn’t understand

- He’s alright with PDA as long as it’s not too much

- (Might think those couples who call each other princess and baby to each other corny and funny)

- Won’t publicly post you on media for your safety and probably for his too

- Would go shopping with you for fun (also steal some stuff for you there)

- Arcade dates are mostly fun with him around

- As much as you might want him to pay, he’ll probably steal stuff behind your back and tell you that he paid for it

- He would wear matching accessories with you as long as it’s not too flashy

- Clothes are out of the options most of the time because he needs to be on alert

- Unless it’s for dates, he wouldn’t mind wearing something comfortable that matches with you

In Private

- Let’s say you share a house with him (he’s not there long term and crash in when he wants to), there will be clothes at least around the house. I wouldn’t say Shalnark is a messy person but he’s not a clean person either.

- Cuddling with him is 50/50. Would only do night cuddles if you want since he probably would be busy in the morning doing something (yet nothing at the same time)

- Wouldn’t say no to morning cuddles if he doesn’t have anything to do

- Cuddles also depends on his mood

- Most of the time he’ll be gone by morning

- You guys would probably be eating fast food more than homemade

- This doesn’t mean he don’t like homemade meals, he won’t complain if he makes homemade meals with you (it’s just more convenient to eat pre packaged food)

- Talking about pre packaged food, there might be more pre packaged food in ur house after he moved in

- Likes stay at home dates where you both either watch movies, play games, or do nothing but hang out

General Relationships

- Can’t imagine him not being cheery around you but he’s more likely to be comfortable not having a happy face all the time around you in private

- Texts you sometimes just to check up on you or chat when he’s not doing anything

- When you guys get into an actual argument, Shalnark would try to defuse the situation when he realizes it’s getting out of hand

- Lowkey not gonna sugarcoat it, Shalnark will comfort you or apologize just to get the situation over with

- This isn’t normally out of genuine feelings for you, it’s for yours and his benefits

- Not going to prioritize you over the phantom troupe

- Boundaries is normal and Shalnark is fine with it, however he will break it if he has to (it only happens when you are in danger, when you are a danger to the phantom troupe, or if someone is targeting him)

- Keeps tabs on you out of necessity (but mostly because of curiosity of what you’re doing)

- If something happens, he isn’t the type to tell you about it, to not worry you.

- Shalnark will try to silently convince you to do something for him (mostly for the benefits of the troupe)

- Can’t lie, he’s gonna be subtly manipulative not out of bad will

What if you are in the Phantom troupe?

- He would be more willing to go on missions with you if chrollo pairs you both up together

- If there isn’t going to be a meeting for another year, you guys might find each other while going on your own heist

- Isn’t protective unless he realizes you are in danger

- He respects your ability to fend for yourself and knows you are capable enough to

- (This is if you aren’t capable of defending yourself from a strong enemy)

- He’s more willing to protect you but it’s unlikely that you’ll be paired up alone

- If you both are infiltrating a place, someone might go along with you but it shouldn’t be just both of you guys alone (during a team heist)

- Good news though, you’ll more likely be paired up since you both are like the back supporters

- Since you’re in the troupe he’s more comfortable around you, often conversing in everyday conversations more (not like he doesn’t already do that)

What if you aren’t in the phantom troupe?

- Shalnark isn’t the type to stay with someone that barely knows what his real self is like so you should know about the phantom troupe

- You’ll have to move around often though

- Shalnark would be a bit more strict with security as it threatens yours and his safety

- This will naturally lead to him being more guarded around you than you want to

- (Also leads him to be a bit more fake for the sake of your being)
