naruto: hey, who do you think is the normal one on our team? it's sakura, right?
kakashi: [shudders] god, no. i watched that girl bite off a grown man's thumb just to assert dominance during a fight. she didn't spit it out either. i live in fear and admiration of the kunoichi i've raised.
naruto: hey, bushy-brows! who do you think is the "normal one" on your team, neji or tenten?
lee: oh, it's not neji, guy sensei had to bodily drag him to his therapy appointment yesterday.
naruto: well, it's definitely not you, so it's tenten, right?
neji, barging in through the door: lee, come help me and gai sensei! some genin challenged tenten to swallow an entire kunai, and she's actually trying to do it!! she won't listen to us!!
naruto: kiba! you got any "normal" ones on your team? i mean, shino's a weirdo, and so are you, but hinata's just kinda quiet, right?
kiba: oh, no, she- wait, what was that part about me being a weirdo?
shino: hinata-chan and i often compare notes on human interaction.
naruto: where the HELL did you even appear from
naruto: yo, genma-senpai! were you the "normal one" on your old team?
genma: you'd have to ask choza about that, ha. i'm sure he has a variety of tales to tell.
naruto: okay, so...was it someone else, then?
genma: [considering] well, i mean, gai's gai, i don't think i have to elaborate on that. and yes, he was like that as a kid too. and ebisu was so focused on trying to appear normal that he completely failed to actually be normal, he was always a neurotic little beanpole.
naruto: oi, granny tsunade!!
naruto: in your old team, who do you think was the normal o- [thinks]....nevermind. i'm not even going to ask.
tsunade: that's the spirit.
