HEY TUMBLR!
Long time no update~ I just wanted to let you guys know a few things. Firstly, I’ve been super quiet because mom-life has taken over. I now have two boys who I love so very dearly! It’s a new adventure, with new challenges and lots of strong emotions. When recovering in the early weeks with my second kid, I went kind of crazy not working on my own stuff. So this year, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and start posting my comic, Paradox Theorem, online! Currently it’s only on Patreon but can be viewed without any membership. You can start reading Paradox Theorem for free right here!
I share a page every other Friday and doodles or other behind the scenes content to patrons on the opposite weeks. Give me a follow there on Patreon or on Instagram to get comic updates! <3

Friendly reminder that GIMP does pretty much everything Photoshop does, and it’s 100% free. Fuck DRM and the license culture, we have plenty of open source options available to us as a consumer.
Lightworks is a freeware video editor on par with Premiere
Blender is an excellent freeware 3D renderer,possibly better than After Effects
Lightzone to replace Lightroom
Inkscape to replace Illustratr
Audacity to replace Audition (I also received a free version of Pro Tools with my Scarlett Solo audio interface)
If Adobe is going to be greedy shitheads, then fuck ‘em. Don’t use their stuff. Freeware can be just as good, if not better, than Adobe CC.

I will keep saying this: GIMP sucks butts.
- Medibang Paint and Fire Alpaca for more cartoon style illustration
- Krita for painting
- Clip Studio Paint (not free, but often on sale and cheap even at full price) is better than PS for art and I’m about to cut adobe entirely. Even does some photo editing.
- Paint Tool SAI (again, not free but cheap) old but good, there’s a ton of hacked copies around too. Not hard to get for free.
- Open Tunez for animation.
I’m currently using Affinity Photo and it’s a great Photoshop alternative. One time fee only and it’s not really expensive, plus supports PSD formats. Free trial available too! Davinci Resolve for video editing is amazing as well! :)
Another great art program to include in the list is the completely free, no download, browser recreation of photoshop, Photopea! It has the potential/customizability to be as robust as a full copy of photoshop while also being perfectly accessible to anyone looking to just do some quick edits with no strings attached.

Hey Internet! I’ve disappeared for a while for a bunch of personal reasons. One of the biggest being our family just got bigger! I’ve been taking care of my own little baby boy as of this Spring. We had a rough start, but God has been steadfast, as He always is, and I’m delighted by the hilarious little blessing we were given. I’m putting aside a lot of my usual pursuits while figuring this Mama thing out, and will probably stay pretty silent on socials for an indefinite amount of time. But know that I am healthy and well, and still chipping away at creative stuff in my precious free time! Be sure to take care of yourselves! (And maybe expect some more baby doodles if time allows~ )

I am so incredibly glad we finally moved on from “i can has”. Cats are clearly smart enough for advanced sentence structure and dumb enough to draw entirely incorrect conclusions about what they’re talking about.
