This Road Trip Calls for a Joke-of-the-Day Book!

❝I take it you’ve made some successful findings?❝

"I'm not exactly a fountain of fashion. Need clothes that can handle all the ick and zombie."

          “So rather’n try and make it to the Fireflies before winter hits,                    you’d be much happier standin’ around here rattling off dumb jokes.”

"If all else fails, we can find a dog and build a dog sled. We can sled all the way to the Fireflies!"

            “Sure don’t feel very fun right now.                   But I am sure you take pride in the work you’ve done,                          which includes wastin’ our time.”

"Joel, there is nothing I am more proud of than wasting our time."

❝Alright— you’re welcome call it what you will.    But I don’t suppose the means of how I got it matters now that it’s been done.❞

"Well, I don't blame you for taking it. Hard to pass up some nice clothes if you see 'em."

              “Did fine without you for the last twenty years.                       Certainly had less headaches.”

"I'm sure those twenty years were lame. And an Ellie-headache is a good headache. A fun headache."

     “I don’t know—Why?”

"Because he wanted a balanced diet."

"That sounds like you stole it."

               “They also don’t have a smart-mouthed teenage girl                  runnin’ her mouth off every goddamn opportunity.”

"Admit it, you'd be lost without me. Or just super bored."

             “Must be nice not havin’ a care in the world.”

"The infected must be pretty happy, then. Don't see them worrying all that much. And you definitely don't see them complaining about my jokes."

         ”What’d I ever do to deserve this?”

"Obviously something pretty great if you got stuck with me."

              “Are you even capable of takin’ anything seriously?”

"No, not even a little bit."

             “It ain’t when there’s infected               and lord knows what else crawling around.               I swear I am going to throw that thing               into a ditch if I see it out again.”

"The infected need some culture. Funny jokes will lighten things up."

                  “Ellie—put that thing away before I throw it away.                                      Now’s not the time for that.”
