         She eyed him nervously still before picking up Cookie’s reigns with her pinky. Ellie still had the upper hand. Her horse could out run the man and she could make it back to the dam with ease. Her only problem was lowering her weapon, and turning her back to the cannibal. 

       It was going to be dark soon meaning the blistering wind could easily make the teen freeze to death. If she was going to shoot the man she better do it soon.

     “You’re fucking joking. Why would I relax around you.” 

   A ghost of smile curled on his lips, revealing a glimmer of inhuman sharp teeth that stood underneath. An epitome of mockery he was. The hunter knew something she did not.

“i know you’re not infected. no one that’s infected fights this hard to stay alive.”
