Remarketing has been around a little while online - but with the launch on Google's Adwords platform it has suddenly become a very accessible tool for all.

What is it?  Remarketing is a feature that lets you reach people who have previously visited your site, and show them relevant ads when they visit other sites

Last month, Google announced plans to shutter iGoogle, among a bunch of other services. Many developers and users were (and still are) outraged, but at least they have some time to breathe: iGoogle isn’t going away until November 1, 2013. That means there are still 15 months left to adjust and export your data. Yet some changes are already starting to take effect: the company’s private Weather API, for example, appears to be dead in the water.

ONLINE electronics retailer Kogan.com has announced it will be charging customers a 6.8 per cent penalty if they use the "antique" browser Internet Explorer 7 to buy their products.

Less Australians went online in April than March but mobile page views have continued to soar throughout the last 12 months, according to Nielsen's new 'Australian online landscape review'.

The report, which provides a snapshot of Australia's online habits for April 2012 compared to March, reveals that while the number of online Australians has dropped over 5% month-on-month to 15.3 million, views of mobile pages have skyrocketed by 182% to 221,192,586 in April this year.

Mobile advertising impressions shot up 156% last year with Apple devices accounting for more than half of those, according to the latest figures from InMobi.

The iPhone leads the way as the most used device with 43.7% of impressions, with iPod second on 5.6%, the Samsung Galaxy SII third (4.9%), iPad fourth (4.7%) and Blackberry 9700 fifth on 4%.

Overall Apple devices accounted for 53% of impressions, with Samsung devices on 12%.
