I’ve found a little more about the story of L’Œil gauche, the short film directed by Simon Birman that Zoïa Mossour is listed in.

The film follows Ella, a young woman who is passionate about film photography. She meets a famous photographer named Lucien for an internship, and he gives her a strange old camera. His instruction is unusual: she has to take photos using her left eye, which he says is connected to the intuitive part of the brain.

At first, Ella notices a strange dark patch appearing in her frames. But when she develops the photographs, the darkness begins to reveal something much more disturbing: a threatening human silhouette.

Little Zoïa update 🤍

Zoïa is currently listed on her agency page as appearing in a new short film called L’Œil gauche (The Left Eye), directed by Simon Birman.

There isn’t loads of information about it online yet, but from what I can find, it looks like it’s a French atmospheric horror short, shot in Strasbourg, with some VFX work involved, so I’m imagining something eerie, moody, and very visually interesting!

Zoïa is listed in the cast alongside Didier Sandre and Adrien Dewitte, and the film is produced by Offshore.
