Rayne takes on what seems to be a routine case for her, though this one takes her a few states away. It’s nothing new to Zion, nor is it anything Cyrena and Noah aren’t already used to, and Gwen is none the wiser given that she’s off at a show in Paris. 

What Rayne realizes a few days into this case is that it’s far from what she thought. The path she uncovers is ever-winding and it’s near unpredictable, but she finds a way to make sense of it. Someone is none too pleased about that fact even though they’re rather impressed that someone was actually able to catch on. Nonetheless, a warning is issued to Rayne: either she backs off, or she suffers dire consequences. Of course Rayne refuses to be scared into backing down.

The UNSUB makes good on his promise and Rayne comes face to face with him. She doesn’t go down without a fight, and blatantly refuses to go down without dragging him with her. Fortunately she succeeds in putting an end to him. Unfortunately it’s her final case.
