āyou said it, not me.ā luca grinned. he didnāt mind having lennieās eyes looking him over. in fact, he encouraged it. his thick brows shot up in surprise at her request to have the door locked. he couldnāt stop his head from ending up in the gutter, thinking about having his way with lennie behind the closed doors of the laundry room. her reasoning for wanting them locked wasnāt what he was hoping for, but he still wasnāt disappointed either. it gave luca a chance to be completely alone with the pretty brunette. he locked the door and sauntered back over to lennie, smirking at her lustful gaze.Ā āthatās pretty devious of you. here i thought you were the sweet girl-next-door.ā
A playful roll of the eyes cursed Lennieās face as she went back to folding her clothes to the purring of the washing machine before her. She could hear Luca locking the door and even though she had requested it for simple, innocent reasons, she couldnāt stop her mind from wandering. Now would be a great time for him to push her up against the working machines and do anything he wanted to her - but she wasnāt daring enough to make that first step.Ā āOh, Lu,ā she began with a soft laugh rolling out of her mouth as she glanced over at the burly man beside her.Ā āIf you know anything about me, youāll know that thereās never been a chance at me being some sweet lilā innocent girl next door. I know how to get into some... trouble.ā She was trying, but not wanting to seem like she was overly trying to get something to progress between them.

luca stepped into the doorway of his buildingās laundry room and quickly smirked as his dark eyes fell upon the other. it was late and he honestly wasnāt expecting to find anyone else in the laundry room. the other lived in the same building as luca and the pair had shared numerous run-ins in the very spot they were standing in. they flirted shamelessly, but nothing had gone any further than that. nothing yet. he strolled up towards the other, resting his hamper on a spare washing machine.Ā ādidnāt think iād see anyone down here. shouldnāt you be in bed getting your beauty rest?ā he teased.
Laundry was easily the most stressful and somehow soothing mundane activity for Lennie. The stress came from the simplicity of never being able to get her time in the laundry room of her apartment complex, but once she did, she was in bliss. Most of the time, Lennie stayed up late enough to have the late night laundry time considering it was usually only her doing such - until tonight. āHey you,ā Lennie said with a smirk painted on her lips as the door opened and she noticed the man coming in. Luca. He was quite the catch whenever it came to all physical aspects, which instantly made Lennie interested. āAre you implying I need beauty rest to look like this?ā Lennie teased with a smirk as she eyed him out of the corner of her vision. God, the things she would do to him. āLock the door,ā she said as she nodded towards where he had just entered. āIt makes people think the machines are down for maintenance. I usually donāt forget to do it but,ā Lennie began with a laugh as she made a not so subtle attempt in looking his body up and down. āCanāt say Iām mad I forgot.ā

Chrissy had been working with children for as long as she could remember, and had always intended to do so from when she was a little kid. Securing this job with Anna had been one of the best nannying jobs that sheād been given, the stability being something that sheād enjoyed. She hadnāt intended to start sleeping with her boss, but one thing had led to another and she didnāt regret a second of it. Sheād been to the office a number of times, so she wasnāt phased when she knocked on the door. There was no need to be nervous when youād done nothing wrong.
Her face dropped slightly as she listened to the blonde, a finger tucking her hair behind her ear as she contemplated the words that hung in the air.Ā āDid I do something wrong? Did I upset you in some way?ā She asked, wanting answers more than anything. Nobody had made her feel the way Anna had, and she wanted to know what sheād done to ruin it.Ā āI havenāt told anyone, you know. I liked it being our secret.ā She paused, biting on her lip nervously.Ā āAre you firing me?ā
The moment Chrissy entered her office, Anna knew this was going to be a more complicated conversation than she had expected. It was her fault, really. She should have planned to have such a tense conversation in a more neutral location than her office, the place where they had fooled around one too many times for Annaās parental sanity to be holding in a great place.Ā āYou didnāt... you didnāt do anything,ā the older woman began, trying to alleviate her eyes away from the woman before her. It was complicated, sure. Anna was sacrificing her happiness and the way that Chrissy made her feel for nothing more than a paranoid mind about what people would think about her if word got out - which it never would. Anna was starting to struggle her thought process throughout this whole thing.Ā āItās just not... itās not right. Youāre hired to be an aid for my son, and nothing more or less.ā
At the following question, Annaās face dropped. It made sense for Chrissy to be questioning her job status, but it made Anna feel even more selfish for expecting the woman to do her job even after this. It was going to be awkward. Moving away from her protective distanced desk, Anna approached her.Ā āYouāre not fired. Iām not going to do that,ā she sighed heavily, wanting nothing more than to reach out and touch Chrissy. There were a lot of things she wanted to take back and bury herself in, but her pride was getting the best of her.Ā āIf you still want your job, you can have it.ā The explanation came with the first bout of eye contact that Anna had allowed that day and she couldnāt stop herself from wetting her lips. It was as if Chrissy was the only glass of water left in the world and Anna was parched.

āMaybe one or two.ā She laughed, shaking her head at his question. Not that she could talk, she was being the queen of vague at the moment. It wasnāt that she wanted to particularly lie about who she was, but sometimes she wanted to forget who she was. She tilted her head as he continued to speak, keeping quiet as he explained. She nodded in agreement. She had plentyĀ of fights with her mother, and every time it always ended in the two of them apologising profusely. They were just too similar, according to her father.Ā āThat does suck.ā She agreed empathically.Ā āMaybe you should get her flowers, there are very few women who wouldnāt enjoy getting them.ā She suggested, as she accepted her drink from theĀ bartender with a dazzling smile. She let out a small laugh, shrugging.Ā āNo, this is not my scene at all.ā She was enjoying herself, although she was certain that was nothing to do with whereĀ she was.Ā āA bad day at work.ā She explained, although she was certain she was gaining plenty of mysterious points herself.Ā āI just needed to go somewhere different, and here we are.ā She held up her glass, gesturing around them.Ā āIt could have been worse, though.ā She smiled at him, her eyes focusing on his.
āIāll take it where I can get it,ā Colby said with a wide smile as he tipped the remainder of his drink into his mouth. He needed to slow down on the drinking before he started making even worse decisions with his life - all of which revolved around the things he could do to the pretty blonde seated next to him.Ā āFlowers? I cannot remember the last time... I got someone flowers, let alone Ma. I think you might be right there.ā There was a moment of silence from Colby before he nodded in her direction.Ā āIf youāre so good with this stuff, wanna share a little about what flowers say the best apology? I feel like thatās somethinā the worldās worked out that I havenāt caught onto yet.ā Once his new drink was delivered, Colby grabbed the attention of the bartender before ordering a shot for both him and Fliss. If they were going to be drinking after a hard day and in a dive bar in town? He was going to make sure there were plenty of stories for the both of them - or maybe even a slight level of blackout drunk behavior to be ashamed about.Ā āWell hereās to hoping that a little bit of time in this horrible place makes up for the bad day,ā he said as he raised the shot glass that was placed before him, pushing hers over with his free hand. As he threw back the shot, Colby couldnāt stop his eyes from gluing themselves to Fliss. She was beautiful, and that was even an understatement of the year for what he truly thought about her.

Victoria knew they were both on a sinking ship right now, their scene was going nowhere and by the time the director told them to stop she was mentally exhausted and annoyed. She was a good actor, hearing Florence speak to the director and crew on her behalf made her eyes roll. Biting back her anger as she was ushered into the trailer she turned her gaze on Florence.Ā āExcuse me? Why does it sound like youāre making all of this fall on me?ā She was defensive, of course she was. If she could have forgotten about Florence being her ex then she would have, but it was entirely impossible especially now.Ā āI think you need to calm down because your panic levels right now are off the charts.ā And it was starting to move to her. Rubbing her palms against her thighs Victoria took a seat and exhaled. She really didnāt want to speak about this.Ā āIām angry at you, thatās whatās I have to say to you. Iām angry since things ended and I think us being in this movie together is a bad move.ā But financially for her it was a smart move, she was sure she could work through whatever issues they had.Ā āBut thereās nothing we can do about that now, not unless you justā¦calm down, okay?āĀ
āBecause it is all on you,ā Florence quickly quipped back, knowing that she was crossing a lot of lines whenever it came to the finger pointing. Their break up had been something that practically ruined Flo, but she wasnāt insecure enough to truly believe that it hadnāt messed with Victoria too. After all, Florence was a fucking catch. Sighing heavily, Florence took a handful of deep, cleansing breaths before her eyes fell upon Victoriaās once again.Ā āSorry, that wasnāt... sorry.ā Therapy paid for a lot in the film industry, but that didnāt mean itĀ āfixedā the outbursts that a drama queen like Florence was bound to have. However, as soon as an inch of calm washed over her, Victoria opened her mouth and once again opened the flood gates of Florenceās insanity.Ā āOh youāre angry. Oh boo hoo, Iām so sorry Victoria. Iām so sorry we got this job together and now youāre stuck with spending time with me. Really, Iām gonna ask my gran to add you to her nightly prayers.ā As soon as she finished speaking, the steady pacing around her trailer began before she was sitting down next to Victoria.Ā āSorry again. Iām just... this isnāt easy for me either okay? But we have to do this. Iām sure you got the same bullshit pitch from your agent like I did and we just...ā She paused for a moment, running fingers through her hair before she was resting her hands on her cheeks, threatening the level of perfection her makeup currently held.Ā āThe PR alone is going to be a nightmare, so I think we shouldnāt... be a nightmare either.ā The words sounded weird as soon as they left her mouth, so she couldnāt even imagine how they sounded.

She was still mostly new to the job. Having been a paramedic for so long, being in the FBI and apart of this team had been an adjustment for her. She knew she was reckless, that she often acted before she thought and put herself in danger, that day hadnāt been an exception, in fact it had probably been one of her more reckless moments.Ā āI know.ā Maya whispered, letting out a shaky sigh as she slipped shaking hands into her pockets, she looked to JJ, hating that she kept doing this to her, kept her worrying for her safety.Ā āIām sorry. I didnāt want to scare you, I just didnāt want anyone else to get hurt.ā
āNone of us want anyone else to get hurt. Ever,ā JJ stated, trying to calm down long enough to let the ice in her voice melt. Ever since she was eligible to join the FBI, she did. This was a lifelong career and while she would have never made the decisions that Maya did now, she had been in her shoes once before. JJ ran frustrated hands through her hair as she glanced around at the lingering eyes on them - or more so, the possibility of lingering eyes. It wasnāt that she was ashamed of her relationship, but more so protective of maintaining it as healthy as possible. Once words got out within their team, there was the possibility of opinions and second guessing for them.Ā āCan we just... can we go somewhere else? Like my office or something.ā Even though her words were posed as a question, JJ didnāt allow any time to be wasted by waiting on a reply. She turned on her heel and immediately began to the slow walk to her office, standing by the door as she waited for Maya to come inside.

Being here with Colby felt easy, more than she would have thought. Strangely, there seemed to be some unspoken agreement for no bullshits, or so the woman felt like, as one real thought had been told by her and he admitted to his dealings.Ā āHow high are you to want to do that with me?ā she asked, an eyebrow raising at his proposition of staring at a wall together. āOr rather, how hard did he hit you?ā Still, there was a small blush covering her cheeks, something that rarely happened with the boys she knew. Boys, because that was what they were to her, all of them seeming childish, spoiled, entitled. But Colby? As she looked at him she couldnāt help but think that he was a man.Ā āStrangely, hanging here with you sounds better than going back in there.ā Maybe there was a full moon or mercury was in retrograde.Ā
A smile formed on her lips at the simple admission that it hurt. It wasnāt that she wanted him to feel pain, but she didnāt know anyone who wouldnāt have pretended it didnāt, just to prove how strong they were. But Colby? He didnāt do that and something in Tessa felt electrified by it. His hand was resting on her hip and, unlike the other guy before, she didnāt want him to pull it off. A finger gently brushed his lip that was starting to swell.Ā āYou need some ice. Thereās probably something in the freezer, they always keep vodka in here.ā Tessa didnāt want to move, to stop being this close to him and that was a problem. Dropping her eyes, she slowly got up opening the freezer and turning around with a triumphant smile on her lips as she held a vodka bottle.Ā āHere, double purpose,ā she said, taking a sip directly from the bottle before sitting down next to Colby, probably a little bit too close, and put the freezing bottle on his lip.
āOh no worries there. I only deal the shit, I donāt do it. I feel like itād be bad for business,ā Colby said with a joking tone though his words were completely real and true. He had tried the route of getting high before and there was something that didnāt vibe well enough for him. Weed was fine, but then again, he never thought that to be the biggest of highs in the world.Ā āWe can say he hit me hard though.ā His eyes flashed to wash over her face, shaking his head at his own thoughts. It was silly to be thinking so much about what his sister would think about Tessa helping him in a moment like this. It wasnāt like her and Tessa were kids anymore. There wasnāt any amount of creepiness occurring because of Colbyās wandering thoughts... and the desperate want to have wandering hands on her body. Christ, how many drinks had he downed in between sales?
Whenever Tessa didnāt move away, Colby felt a shift in his world. It wasnāt that he figured she found him to be repulsive, but he had already been lining up his apology speech at the simple task of touching her.Ā āIce yeah,ā Colby mumbled, his eyes searching her face for a moment to bask in the glory of the closeness. He should stop - but then again, Tessa stopped for the both of them. He settled back against the couch whenever she walked across the room to hopefully find some relief for his wounds, but all Colby could do was keep his eyes trained on her.Ā āI like the way you think,ā he said with a laugh as she pressed the vodka bottle against his lip, ticking his tongue at her for a moment.Ā āSharing is caring now, cāmon.ā As he grabbed the bottle from her hand, he couldnāt help the way his fingers lingered against her skin before taking a large swig of the alcohol himself. It was a cheap cop out, but at least he could use the weak excuse of the alcohol getting to his head if he pulled any kind of funny business with Tessa.Ā āYou uh- you want anything?ā Colby asked in a soft tone, patting the inside pocket of his jacket to show exactly the kind of product he was talking about.Ā

She promised herself that she wasnāt going to do this. Whenever Riley had made the incredibly selfish decision to leave and abandon her partner, she had promised that she wouldnāt return and make things far more complicated to their already fucked love story. However, life without them had proven to be far too difficult to get through all on her own and like the coward she was, she was standing in front of their front door with a sour expression on her face. With her hood drawn over her head to the point of nearly covering her eyes in a way to shield herself from the rain, she knocked on the door.Ā āDonāt,ā Riley stated evenly as soon as the door opened and was almost immediately slammed shut in her face. Luckily Riley had no fears of getting her fingers slammed in the door at the moment as she slammed her hand against the door in an effort to halt the denial.Ā āI just- I didnāt know where else to go.ā

To Florence, Sunday brunch with her friends was one of the most crucial and necessary parts of the week, especially after following a wild Friday night. She had spent far too much time and money at the bar, only to go home with another woman. It wasnāt that it was completely out of character for Florence, but she wasnāt the type to end the rendezvous in such a quiet and unknown kind of way. Regardless, it was her time to relax, unwind, and drink far too many mimosas for her future selves liking.Ā āNo seriously, like, cut me off after Iām grabbing for my sixth or something, okay? I donāt think weāll like who comes out,ā Flo said to one of her friends with a far too energetic laugh as she looked towards the door to see her very late friend finally showing up for the fun.Ā āItās about time. What the hell, where have you bee-ā As soon as her friend came into full view, she recognized the face following behind her. She knew that her friend had mentioned bringing along someone she knew from work, but Florence wasnāt aware she had to prepare herself to face the woman from Friday night so suddenly. Without much explanation, her energy went from a cute ten to a bummer of a two as she averted her eyes as much as she possibly could from the situation at hand.

The nightmare was over. They had apprehended the suspect in question and had saved the most recent victim from the sick minded acts that the psychopath would have surely tossed her way. It was a day of success and a day that JJ should have been celebrating. However, as she sat next to one of the members of her team, she couldnāt help but feel absolutely heartbroken. āYou could have been killed,ā she spoke softly, not wanting to cause alarm for the rest of the team. The two of them had a special relationship, one that was a secret for the most part, but when working amongst a group of talented individuals who specialized in the art of profiling? Nothing was a secret for long. āYou were reckless and careless and youā¦ā JJ paused for a moment as she looked to her side, her eyes falling on the person. They were safe. They had minor injuries. They were going to be completely fine. āYou scared me.ā

Whenever the apocalypse struck, Lexis had been away on a business trip. In the middle of a seminar, one of of the mindless little brain eaters had attacked the presenter in front of almost a hundred willing eyes and ears, thus sparking the biggest clusterfuck of a panic that she had ever endured. She had barely made it out, but her safety was all thanks to them.
Since the world went to shit, the two of them had been side by side, taking on whatever obstacles came their way, and killing as many zombies as they possibly could. Things had been great, but things became even greater whenever they stumbled upon a deserted mall. The good thing about Zombieland was the fact that everything was up for grabs. Especially the clothes, which was exactly what they had been taking advantage of for the last hour or so.Ā āYou look fuckinā good, you better keep that shit,ā Lexis said with a smile as she allowed her eyes to wander over the newest outfit that the other had been trying on.Ā āSeriously,ā she began, only to hear the moan and groan of a zombie nearby. With a simple swing of her nailed bat, it was on the floor and never to bother them again.Ā āYou better be taking that.ā

āPlease, call me Cordelia.ā What did it say about herself, that she was going home and the only person who seemed to bother having a real conversation of all evening didnāt even call her by her name. There was something almost urgent in the way Cordelia asked Lennie to use her name, a need to feel less alone. The place they were driving to was one of her favorite, the view being amazing but also, the feeling of being above everything, not in a condescendant way but as if things below didnāt matter that much.Ā āThe food was good, like always. A lot of ass kissing too,ā she said with half a smile as she tried to catch the womanās eyes in the miror.Ā āIām not keeping you from going home to someone waiting I hope?ā There was something in her words that was prying. Cordelia didnāt want Lennie to leave someone home alone like her own husband was doing but there was also something more. The two woman spending a lot of time together in this car and there was a liking forming for the driver.
āCordelia,ā Lennie spoke, her voice having a certain speed to it as she locked eyes with the woman in her rearview mirror. She knew that it was wrong, but she couldnāt stop the excited ball of tension that was buzzing through her rib cage. A soft bout of laughter fell from her lips about the events of the party, knowing exactly the kind of things she was talking about. Coming from her family, she had endured her fair share of snazzy galas and fancy parties, and each one of them bored her more than the last. It was exhausting having to be the kind of person that was approachable enough by others at an event like that.Ā āI uh-ā Lennie said with a tilt of her head, her eyes suddenly glued to the road at the personally prying question. It wasnāt that Lennie was upset about the question, or even her answer, but more so the events that she wanted to unfold because of her lacking of a partner in life.Ā āUnless youāre going to be particularly worried about the pup I have most likely sleeping at home, weāre all set for a while now.ā Lennieās eyes flashed back towards the mirror as she smiled at Cordeliaās reflection.Ā āGirlfriend and I broke up a couple months ago so Iāve been off the hook from a curfew,ā she lied, wanting nothing more to throw out the fact that she was in fact the kind of woman that could make Cordelia happy if she would allow it.Ā āDid the Mr. give you a curfew?ā She pried, the smirk on her face telling the tale of her sarcastic banter birthing into their conversation.
tulipencireā:
The question AJ was asking was simple and yet, so complex. There were so many layers to what happened, the action that got him in there in the first place but also, what happened when he was in jail. Things that Savannah never wanted the male to know. If AJ knew that Michael didnāt stop or walk away from her easily after almost dying, there was a chance Michael would not escape AJās fists alive this time. And the blonde woman would never let the man she truly loved pay for her mistakes, never again.Ā āBecause I wasnāt here before,ā she simply stated. Even now, there was a fear deep within her, a need to look over her shoulder, one that was fought, to make sure he wasnāt there, watching her, and that she would not pay the price of her freedom. AJ was angry with her and he had every right to be. She had let him down when he needed her the most and that was not something she would ever forgive herself. And she would not held it against him if he didnāt either.Ā āI should have been here for you and youāre right to be mad.ā She could barely look at him as she said these words, guilt eating away at her.Ā āCan I at least give you a ride? Maybe we could talkā¦ā The words hung in the air between them, Savannah feeling like there was no actual words that could explain why he was alone for five years.
The more he looked at Savannah, the more he came to the conclusion that there were a lot of victims in the game that was his life. Michael, obvious and for great reason. Himself, for having to waste five years of his life in prison. But the most important victim was Savannah. She had been the victim of abuse and suffered for God only knows how long at the hand of Michael, and then was thrust into an unknown world of trying toĀ ābetterā herself with what she had now. She was the one that should be having the hardest time with her emotions, not AJ. With that in mind, his demeanor and composure became more approachable as he exhaled slowly a handful of times. He needed to buck the fuck up or else he didnāt deserve people like Savannah in his life.Ā āIām sorry,ā he began, approaching her with softer features as he held his hand up and waved it around like a metaphorical white flag.Ā āI would uh- I would like that. The ride. Not so much the talkināĀ ācause uh- still not the biggest one in the world but Iāll muster something up for ya.ā Better, he thought to himself, knowing that while a level of anger in Savannah was acceptable in this situation, he didnāt need to be a big, bad, unapproachable kind of bastard. She had been through her own personal hell and prison too. AJ saddled up next to her during their walk to her car, resting in the comfortable silence that was between them. If there was one thing about prison, it was the absence of silence. At all hours of the day, there was something clanging on their doors or the bars on some of the cells, not to mention the abhorrent sounds of constant screaming and yelling. It was nice.
