Hello once again. I can't really explain the last year of my life. I would journal this right now but my journal happens to be not right next to my side. This year I've hurt so much. I've hurt so much that I thought I would never feel halfway whole again. I was so scared and I never have felt that alone. I really wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy. But facing those terrible struggles told me a lot and in a year, I feel like I've aged decades. Everything I've learned is actually quite simple and I can't help but cringe at how obvious some of the problems that haunted me and my sleepless fucking nights were.Â
Be honest. Be painfully honest where your heart feels like it might stop because being that honest and naked about what you're thinking and feeling is unheard of these days. Which is quite fine because you don't want to be in that group. Â You want to be heard. You want to make a statement. Do not blend into the slim parts of another person's life they grant you. Â Demand to be recognized and never limit yourself, because you are limiting your dreams and everything you have worked for. Â Because by limiting yourself and fitting into the role you happen to find yourself in, that will get you through days, possibly weeks, and for the truly blind ones like myself-months. Â But at the end of those moments, you will have nothing you have wanted from the beginning. Â You will have an awakening and realize you are in the middle of something you never fathomed would be apart of your life. So, stand up for yourself. Stand up for what you want in this life; whether that be love, friendship, or simple fair treatment. You are not a double-standard. Everyone has their own brilliance and beauty and fuck anyone who tells you otherwise. Â They are your limitations, you can beat that and not be constrained by their own faults in thought.Â
Besides bring honest and standing up for yourself, you must, and I repeat MUST, take an easy on yourself. You have to stop being your own worst enemy. If your like me, you find yourself to have enemies no matter what. Why the hell make yourself the plus one? I find myself to be forgiving towards others unconditionally, because I love those people to their core. I don't ignore their faults, but I simply accept them because no one is perfect. Damn, even the people who think they are put themselves in a contradictory fault because that does not exist in this universe. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Don't ignore your mistakes, but don't give yourself the third degree for every wrong. Â I learned everything this year from making ridiculous and life-changing decisions that some would say were wrong. But there was no way of knowing at the time. So I live with my decisions and recognzie the areas where I totally could have improved. Â I break this rule the most often, because I blame myself for a lot. I blame myself for having my own heart broken to be honest. I get angry at myself for going through shit to believe it or not, end up in even bigger shit.Â
So breathe. Just take one breathe and give away all your anxieties and faults you find within yourself. Â Think of those decisions and the tiny good things they brought you, and then the balance comes to order. Yeah, I've faced a lot of shit but I've had such good, happy moments that I will remember because I've learned to cherish every single one of those. Â While others blindly blow past those moments, you can hold on to them. Remember and relieve them in their greatest glory. Â Sometimes you can even convince yourself you might figure out parts of this world sooner or later.Â
Romantically, I don't believe I have been truly loved this year. Yes, I've talked to boys, and went out, and did what I felt like doing in the moment. I never felt loved or truly wanted. I was desired in the moment, or a certain frame of time. But never wanted and accepted. Â That hurt my heart the most. I just want to be accepted for being my whole self, because I can't fight it. I am who I am, all my weirdness, frustrations, anger, drama, tears, emotions. It's a lot and I scare them away to say the least. But they didn't love me. I didn't exactly love them. I thought I loved one boy, and surprisingly it was one I didn't sleep with. But he made his intentions clear that was not how he felt, or what he was looking for. I might have left someone who loved me for this person, and this situation might have lead to a month of depression, but I was following my heart. Don't love just to have someone around, love because it's what your heart is demanding. It will guide you one way or another. I could have stayed with the first boy, who did love me at the time. But it wouldn't have been right or fair. Â He was amazing and kind and deserved someone who would really appreciate that. Not just guide through not reciprocating those emotions.Â
So, while that time palinly sucked ass, it had to be done. I know now to be honest as soon as I figure out my feelings, to continue to follow my heart despite how awful the end result can be. To love my friends first, and be there for them. I believe my best friends are all my soul mates. They fulfill my happiness and I feel more loved by one of them than any boy has ever treated me.Â
Live for yourself this upcoming year. Don't be your worst enemy. And fight your anxieties and fight against limitations that will inevitably be placed on you at one point in your life. Be loud, be ridiculous to others, be brilliant, and educate yourself on everything around you.Â
