you are not the only one. i promise there are a ton of fans crying about his bare ankles and the way he sat in the first photo. a ton of people thought he's finally being 骚骚的 LOLLOLLOL...which kinda means that he was finally less shy about his poses, and was being a bit seductive in this photoshoot LOLLOLLOL

btw, he was there to receive the best lead actor award for his performance in the secret path, but because new era is not a big award, i just never bothered to say anything. both him and yhw got a ton of unimportant awards every year, but as fans of serious and reputable actors, we don't really brag about it like the traffic stars/idol actors.

before the nomination was even out for this award, all the idol actors and traffic stars were buying trending topics to brag about their works being in the nomination pool. for a moment, because there were so many trending topics from them, i thought this was an award catered to idol dramas. but once the nomination was out, the trending topics all stopped because even an unimportant award knew not to nominate traffic stars or idol actors for acting awards. so the entire award show went quiet on social media LOL...

i kinda applaud this award for keeping its integrity, and not nominating traffic stars just to get their fans to make data for the award on social media.

i haven't seen him much since late jan...except the times that director zhang lv invited him to give a class with him at beijing university, and the teaser and wrapup photo of 千里江山图/a panorama of rivers and mountains (he guest starred in this drama, and finally didn't have to be a protecter anymore in a republican era spy drama since played a guy that's protected by everyone). not sure if the new hair is something he picked or if it's for his next project.

i've been busy, so i'm only following weekly update of one crime drama at the moment which is kerry washington and elisabeth moss' imperfect women. it's not that good, but watchable.

i do really want to get into 八千里路云和月 ASAP though, or at least watch yhw's cut whenever his character appears. based on the info available now, yhw's character is kinda similar to zly's character in fearless blood (back in 2023 yhw actually made a post about zly's character during the airing of fearless blood).

because both characters are bound by responsibilities, they feel trapped in life. yhw's character is a super rich guy who's trapped inside his big fancy mansion, and zly's character is a village head (well off too) who's trapped inside his village. both of them want adventures. yhw's character has a collection of items from adventures (not sure if he went on the adventures himself when he was younger or bought those from other adventurers), and zly's character has a room full of books so he can read about other people's adventures. i sense lots of parallels between the two characters, but also differences. zly's character doesn't really deal with real world stuff, so he's rather naive. but i think yhw's character would be very mature since i assume he runs his business himself. anyways, i will have lots of feels about them, and i probably will scream at you when i have time lol.

the only time i use duckduckgo search is when i use the duckduckgo browser. and the only time i use the duckduckgo browser is for the backup/testing account that's logged onto tumblr via the duckduckgo browser. so apparently i was too lazy to even save a bookmark or type the url. i just search tumblr whenever i need to get on tumblr.

lock screen is one of my favourite three body posters. i've used it for three years already. home screen is the most popular and my favourite panda bear hehua (huahua) ft. her twin sister heye in the back.

so in mid march, sichuan film production companies went to an event in hong kong, and they showed some of their future projects. one project is a movie about the famous poet from song dynastic, su shi (su dongpo).

in the presentation, they basically photoshopped their dream cast for the film lol. we have zhang luyi playing an emperor again lol (emperor shenzong of song to be exact), and yu hewei playing sima guang, a high ranking official. historically they had a complex relationship. the emperor really appreciated the talent of sima guang, but they had different political ideologies and often disagreed with each other.

i mean, these are just intended casting, so we don't know if they will accept the roles at all. but this dream cast is totally A+, and i can see the ambition the production company has, like what it says in the bottom left of the presentation "top-tier production. timeless classic. international impact".

us three-body and shiwang fans have always been wondering what's the next non three-body project that zly and yhw will work on together, and we are already seeing production companies wanting to cast them in the same project.

i know it's rather common for people snapping photos of famous people they saw on a plane, and this photo of zhang luyi doesn't seem to be post worthy. BUT what zly was watching caught cnetizen's eyes.

yes, it was that obvious. i immediately recognized what it was. it was 酷酷的滕 and 王天放 from super sketch show, a sketch comedy competition show with yu hewei being one of the judges/mentors.

it's from season 2 episode 4 of super sketch show to be exact. and this is yhw watching this particular sketch comedy and loving it:

i remember yhw in this episode so vividly because he dressed like a five year old LOLLOLLOL, and everyone teased him because of it LOL...he explained that he had been doing character profile photos, and all the characters were rather super old looking, so he just wanted to feel younger LOL.

this season of the super sketch show ended just a month before the airing of three body, so A TON of people were rather shocked by the huge contrast between yhw himself and shi qiang because yhw was just this adorkable guy that got teased by other witty comedians a lot LOL.

back then, even yhw himself reblogged a post about this contrast on weibo. i still even have the screencap of that post. in fact, i wrote a long post about the contrast between zly & yhw's own personalities vs shiwang personalities back in march 2023, but just never posted it because i didn't want to generalize real people's personalities. yes, that post was still in my draft lol.

i do wonder why zly was watching this show now. i'm sure yhw mentioned this show to him at some point. i still wonder if this was the first time that zly watched this season of the show. or maybe he had nothing else to watch, so he just decided to rewatch? or maybe ma dong invited him to be a guest judge for future seasons, and he was debating if he wanted to go?

anyways, i hope zly enjoyed the show and had a delightful flight (i think this was when he flew to chengdu to guest star in a film, and coincidentally yhw had been filming in chengdu for a while). i guess zly's really one of the few people who has first hand knowledge on the difference between real yhw and shi qiang lol.

i'm staying at my parents' for the new year celebration, and i just walked into the kitchen with an uncontrollable smile on my face after reading your comment. my mom was like, what's the smile for? i'm like...nothing, just excited for the food...LOLLOLLOL

Since I giffed the actual Chinese New Year celebration in rain village last year, this is another perfect gifset for the holiday because Zhang Luyi and Chen Minghao improvised this scene to playfully show a Chinese New Year tradition. During the celebration, families and friends will wish each other a happy new year. One of the more traditional ways for the younger generation (usually minors, but it may vary depending on the regions) to do this is to kneel and bow to the family members of the older generation. In return, the older generation will hand out red envelopes with money in them to the younger generation.
