Food & Wine goes way beyond mere eating and drinking. We're on a mission to find the most exciting places, new experiences, emerging trends and sensations.
So I was at Six Flags this past Saturday (pro tip: either bring food & drinks in your car via an ice-filled cooler or buy the park cup--you and your wallet will thank me) and I saw this. Gotta say, Iâm not going to miss it. The first time I rode this fucker, it gave me headaches for the rest of the day. Whatever theyâre going to build in its place, I hope itâs going to be a coaster. In any case, itâll be 10Ă better than this run-down POS.
Whenever there is âthis franchise is dyingâ discourse and someone says something like âI give this franchise 2 more years tops before itâs completely deadâ I can only think of that one scene in DBZ when Freeza says the planet is gonna explode in 5 minutes but then it takes 10 episodes before it actually does collapse

Wow, Iâve never seen it do that!
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Eureka! Iâve perfected my chocolate chip cookie recipe! Here it is!
Ingredients
ž cups butter, softened (stick-and-a-half) 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons hot water 1 teaspoon salt 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
1.  Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
2. Beat in eggs one at a time.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Dissolve baking soda in hot water.[1] Mix hot water and baking soda in a separate bowl, and add the solution to the mix along with salt.
5. Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Add walnutsâor any other thingâif desired.
6. Optionally, but recommended, chill the cookie dough for a minimum of 30 minutes, overnight, or up to 3 days. This will allow the flour to fully absorb the liquid ingredients.
7.  Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
8. Roll up the cookie dough into balls and place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchmentâor grease the sheet.
9. Bake for about 23-25 minutes, or until edges are nicely browned. Rotate cookie sheet halfway through. If a toothpick comes out clean, then they are ready. (Remember: If cookies look done, then theyâre done.)
[1] If hot water cannot be taken from tap, then fill a small amount of water into a saucepan and begin heating it up between steps 3 and 4. Once done, use a teaspoon to extract the heated water and continue to step 5.
