⚠️ (June 8th) Updated the alternative version (Fandom V1) of the family tree to version 1.5 (In this version I added Viola)

What is it?

Unfortunately, it's not a mod for The Sims, but a family tree created with the Family Gem application, a huge all-in-one family tree that includes the Thebe, Capp, Monty and Summerdream all COMPLETE family trees in one file (all sims from The Sims 2 and The Sims 4 included).

The family tree will be updated over time if Family Gem app adds new helpful features or if EA adds more relatives.

If you like, I can also make versions for Pleasantview and Strangetown! Let me know!

Why did I create it?

The answer is simple! Do you want to recreate all the Sims from your beloved The Sims 2 Veronaville in The Sims 4 or add Sims from The Sims 4 to The Sims 2 but you get confused? Don't be afraid anymore, with this family tree ALL sims from both games are included and so you can check without blowing your head on the sims wiki or opening both games.

The download includes two options: either the family gem backup file or the gedcom file that in theory you can import into any other site or app that allows you to create family trees! So the gedcom file is better if you want to try using your family tree on other sites or apps if you don't like Family Gem or want to check everything from a PC site. (Family Gem is for mobile only.)

How can I install it?

If you download the .ged file, simply import it into any app or site that allows you to upload gedcom (.ged) file.

If you want to download the family tree for the Family Gem app, you need to:

- Open the app, go to settings and enable the option for advanced tools

- Then go to the homepage, click on the "+" icon and decide whether you want to upload the backup file or the gedcom file! At this point the family tree will appear on the app's home page!

(The gedcom version is without images and the .backup zip version has images)

According to the wiki, Cordelia I from The Sims 4 and Queen Thebe from The Sims 2 are the same person. So I merged them into one person.

I added all the relatives that didn't exist in The Sims 4.

No, uncanon sims like Viola are not included.

I could have created the Summerdreams without forcibly linking Puck as Hermia's boyfriend, but for your convenience (and for better importing into other sites and apps) I made him her partner anyway. With Family Gem you can unlink them and it still wouldn't delete anything. But to find the Summerdreams you should look for them in the categories on the left, among the "people" of the family tree. Open the profile of a Summerdream member and from the options open the diagram. Their family tree will open up for you.

I added the death flag for deceased sims.

I've added flags for married, engaged, and ex-sims. (If any are missing, let me know.)

I added flags for biologically born and adopted sims.

Unfortunately, the app isn't very aesthetically pleasing, and I can't even change the colors of the cards. The fuchsia cards indicate women, the blue ones indicate men, the grey ones are for the unknown gender (or the sims who identify as something else). For example, Celeste Capp has the gray card.

In the categories on the left, in the "sources" category, I divided the sims by dynasties. But unlike The Sims 4, here I've given all sims TWO dynasties. One is the one they're born into, and the second is the one they enter after marriage. If you don't know what category a sim was born into because the game doesn't tell you what their maiden name is, they fall into the unknown dynasty category.

I added two of Princess Cordelia Thebe I's pirate lovers that I had forgotten about.

I've added some basic information to all of them, like the game they appear in, their pronouns, their ages, where they live etch. I'm thinking of adding more information in the future, but I'll see how I can keep everything organized.

The numbers in brackets (for example (2) and (3) indicate the game (2 = The Sims 2 and 3 = The Sims 3)

I removed the death flag to sims who weren't actually dead, oops, my mistake!

I added the images to EVERYONE! If you don't like the image a sim has (for example, if you don't want Dilfbalt (TS4's Tybalt) but Tybalt from TS2 you can change it, I also uploaded The Sims 2 version too! And I did this FOR EVERYONE!

Deleted some leftovers I accidentally created and forgot to delete while I was trying options.

Changed Mara Summerdream's lifestate from "Sim" to "Fairy", also for The Sims 1. I wrote "Sim" because Mara in The Sims 1 is a very normal sim with a fairy skin (costume). Since there isn't actually a "fairy" lifestate in The Sims 1, I thought "sim" would be fine, but the wiki lists her as a real fairy in her The Sims 1 ver.

Fixed Fia Acosta's name. (I wrote "Fla" instead of "Fia." Sorry, my eyes misread!)

Another one with Viola + the sims of Windenburg (because in my head and heart, even if Windenburg was not released to be Veronaville in its final version, for me it's like Windenburg was still connected as a sort of subhood/downtown.

Overview

Hi everyone! This is an experimental (WIP) mod that makes lot skirts in TS2 looking like neighborhood terrain. TSCS inspired me to create this mod; as far as you remember, TSCS has visible neighborhood decals from lot view. It is set in assembly code so that TSCS lot skirts use neighborhood techniques for mapping. Original TS2 doesn't have such functionality. LD attempted to immitate that via fake neighborhood deco but it was created for particular terrains only. So I decided to attempt editing lot skirt shader and got some results; it adds cliffs, rough and meduim stages and improves shores from lot view! Though it is not perfect as it has some misconsistency with lighting (original lot skirts also do) and doesn't repeat the neighborhood terrain mapping but I think it's more practical than neighborhood deco. Hope you like it!

Features

Adds neighborhood decals (cliffs, rough and medium terrain) to lot skirts. Decals are also visible with snow states. No blue snow fix and sky fix are included. Works for every neighborhood automatically. Supports lighting mods (dusk and dawn states). Looks better with default replacements.

Installation

Put the .package file into your Downloads folder.

Compatibility

Incompatible with shader mods that modify lot skirts so rename the file adding "zzzz" prefix to make it load last to prevent conflicts if you use many shader mods. Doesn't conflict with other no blue snow mods that modify the rest shaders (roofs, lot terrain).

Known Issues

May look weird in dusk and dawn states using some lighting mods (still have no idea how to fix that). Seam between lot skirt and lot terrain (original TS2 lacks lot edge blend technique like in TSCS to make smooth transition between lot terrain and lot skirt). Lot imposter terrain paint may be invisible sometimes for unknown causes.

Terrain Types

Recently it has been discovered that it's possible to create new terrain types. My shader contains standard terrain types (temperate, desert, dirt and concrete) and uses dependence of textures on lot texture so if you add custom terrain types it's required for my shader to have added such dependencies otherwise my shader will look buggy for your custom terrain types (you are free to contact with me for more detailed information). Welcome to New Veronaville - 1 year anniversary!

This neighborhood took a little longer than expected because most of it was done, there was just some stuff I hadn’t gotten to finishing yet. But now it’s finally here, and just in time for my 1 year (and 1 month!) anniversary when I first joined Simblr on May 19, 2019!

As always, this hood is a complete makeover of all the sims and lots from Veronaville, using the Ultimate Collection. This hood is based on @meetmetotheriver’s Clean Veronaville Templates, so all fixes from that also apply here. I also replaced the terrain of Veronaville with Flatter Veronaville by slig from dreamwidth, since there were LOTS of bug issues I tried to flatten the lots with the default terrain.

Also, since the Monty side of Veronaville is kind of sad, I also made some scratch-built starter homes, one inhabited by our very own Bianca Monty. Lastly, most, if not all of the “double-home” lots are now apartments! Cheaper for your sims who want to live on the Capp side.

THIS REQUIRES THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION OR ALL EPS AND SPS. To install it, unzip it and place it in your The Sims 2 / Neighborhoods Folder.

3t2 Cowl Necked Top (requested by anon)

No one is surprised: this was also a fullbody outfit that I made into a top 😂 For teens, adults, and elders, they have the appropriate morphs. Since I'm obsessed with socials now (and I watch @teaaddictyt streams and VODS where she gives me ideas...) here are some mods that affect Neurotic, Dramatic and Insane Sims! These are fun little self-interactions for storytelling or other purposes... I originally inserted these into the PersonGlobals TTAB. But as some of you may know, this causes a great deal of issues because it conflicts with other important mods.

So, I split them up into three separate controllers, so they don't conflict with anything! they all have unique GUIDS. These are non-autonomous and require Easy Inventory Check and the base traits mod by Hexagonal Bipyramid.

Interactions

Neurotic Sims can now "Freak Out" if their Comfort is low. They will cry, worry, or throw a tantrum and their comfort will increase. Paired great with my "Motive Decay" for traits, because Neurotics have greater Comfort decay!

Dramatic Sims can now "Fake Pass Out" like the Sims 3. Sims will react to your Sim, and their reactions depend on personality and traits (Evil Sims may enjoy it...). They can only do it if their Social is fairly low and it gives them Fun and Social.

Insane Sims (and this is my favorite) can now scream psychotically and everyone around them will react. I found a disabled/cut interaction called "Primal Scream" in the code so I just HAD to enable it for Insane Sims. There's an animation for this and everything!

Ok it doesn't show you the Anim, but trust me, it's great! And they actually scream! Like audibly!

Enjoy! Looking at this mod will also help you understand self-interactions if you're into modding!

I also have one for the Clumsy trait where they do the roller-skate fall animation randomly, but I can't get it to work autonomously in a controller. It stays in my PersonGlobals unfortunately.

SimPE for Mac now exists! It is a Wine wrapper around the Windows SimPE 0.8.2.11, patched for Mac file paths, loading objects and TXTR files from the Stuff Packs Huge Lunatic extracted, if they are installed in BonVoyage/TSData/Res/Catalog/Bins. Fixed Wine weirdness of not properly displaying the Resource List. Should work on both Intel and M series Macs, but is dependent on Rosetta on Apple M series.

Like all Wine apps, your local hard drive will be the Z drive in the open and save file menus. To get to your Sims 2 folder, you click Z>Users>yourusername>Library>Containers>com.aspyr.sims2.appstore>Data>Library>Application Support>Aspyr>The Sims 2.

It is not uploaded to MTS, because it exceeds the maximum file size for upload. I am working on that. The wine wrapper makes this a large app. Like 1.2 gig. I went through becoming an official Apple developer and getting the app approved, so MacOS won't complain and refuse to run it. I didn't do anything special, just used the MoveObjects On cheat. But I've only ever built the Silver Rocket as a residential lot, so if you want real (functional) cars on a community lot you'll need a mod or some other workaround. For example, you can hunt down car statues as decoration.

One mod you might find helpful is Build/Buy Enabler on MTS. This mod unlocks Build/Buy mode AND sim inventory on community lots. However, it doesn't change item availability meaning you can't access residential items on community lots and vice versa. Since cars are considered a residential item, this mod won't save you BUT with a little trickery you can fill your sims pockets with cars then place them on the community lot. Cars placed this way won't function properly but it makes a good shortcut for storytelling purposes.

Steps: 1. Start with a residential lot. Place your cars. Save. 2. Enter cheat: changeLotZoning community 3. Save again, then exit lot. Your next reload back into the lot will complete the process. 4. Enjoy your community lot with cars on it!

The cars are not functional, as my boy Brandon W. is demonstrating for us here. The cars are essentially statues with no interactions. Sims will walk around, but that's it.

I made a mod for Paralives which stops wants from being cleared when Paras go to bed each night, so they're still available to work on the next day. This adds a lot more incentive, purpose and direction to gameplay for me personally. I love how there's always wants active in The Sims 2 so that's what I'm going for. You can always manually delete ones you don't want anymore to make space when you get to pick a new reaction to an emotion. I learned after making this that you can actually stop one want from clearing by pinning it, but I'd rather be able to keep as many as I currently have and besides, remembering to pin one every day especially in large households could get tricky/annoying. So, I thought others might want this mod too to keep all of their wants.

I've successfully scraped all of the available Custom Content that was linked on GOS from Mediafire, Box, and SimFileShare. (Mirrors on 4shared not included)

Of course, I can't go back in time to retrieve things that are already long gone but here's a .zip of 49 GBs of content. This is everything from the beginning of GOS to September 2023.

Changeable Game Boards

I love @jacky93sims invisible chess board and I'm planning to use it everywhere all the time. But what if it was easier to switch the game board?

So I present...changeable game boards!

With one board, you can choose between all the options Jacky converted from ATS, plus two from @decat2's ACNH conversions.

All the games are included in the download. The alternate games don't show up in the catalog to eliminate clutter, but you need all the files for it to work.

Unfortunately, changing the model this way removes the ability to change the recolor, so it's one option each. But I did change the GUIDs so they don't overwrite the originals if you want the recolor options. You'll just have to place those the old-fashioned way.

I'm usually forgiving of TS2's goofy aesthetics, but the Family Fun undersea set has always bothered me to no end. That chair alone is an eldritch object of horror, something that only Cthulhu could love.

So! I made some replacements.

No judgment if you like the originals, but I thought I'd share in case other folks would like less bonkers options.

for a while i'd been using objects.package modified by me to unhide objects that sims use during interactions and it's now a MUST HAVE for me when it comes to no cc decorating!

initially i posted a whole modified objects.package, but @simnopke suggested i make an override mod instead, so i did! anyone who has downloaded the previous file can bring back their backup or download one someone posted here and then proceed to download the new mod, as modified objects.package isn't needed anymore :)
