Zone 1 (Raccoon City) Bestiary
NOTES
Contact of an infected creature's bodily fluids with an uninfected creature's bodily fluids results in the uninfected becoming infected. The more contact there is, the faster the infection will take hold inside the still-living being.
The most common ways of infection are being scratched or bitten.
Basic side effects of infection consist of itchiness, rashes, necrosis, fever, nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. Advanced levels of infection may cause trembling, convulsions, blindness, and inability to walk.
Also, everything is weak to large, hard-hitting guns such as magnums, rocket launchers, etc, so I am not including those in the weakness lists.
WARNING: Most, if not all, of the videos in this list depict violent scenes.
ZOMBIE
Zombies are Raccoon City's most common enemy.
Zombies tend to be damage sponges. Destroying the brain is the fastest way to kill them.
If they can't physically reach you, they may try to projectile vomit on you.
Sometimes, when downed, they will play dead and attempt to grab or bite you if you walk too close.
Weak to: Almost everything but knives and small handguns.
LICKER
An advanced form of zombie, lickers have a long, incredibly powerful tongue that can pierce flesh. They may also use the tongue to drag someone to them, or to wrap around appendages and twist them off, most specifically heads.
They will also use their large claws to pierce your jugular in a leaping attack.
Lickers are blind. However, their sense of hearing is impeccable, so if you speak (or make any sort of noise), run, or walk too closely to them, they will hear you and attack. They can also stick to walls and ceilings.
If a licker is able to consume enough fresh flesh, it will evolve, becoming quicker, stronger, and more aggressive.
Weak to: Fire, acid, shotguns, bowguns.
Videos: RE2 First Encounter
CERBERUS
Dogs, usually dobermans, that have most likely been used as test subjects. As they no longer feel pain, the ones that were test subjects have chewed through their cages and escaped, free to run rampant.
They are fast and hard to hit with projectiles when running, but before they attack they will usually lope around their target.
Normally seen in packs of at least 3.
Weak to: Everything, but hard to hit.
CROW
Crows that have become infected from eating infected corpses now fly around the city, attacking living creatures. They are normally seen in murders and are rather hard to hit with projectiles. Melee is usually the best way to take these creatures out.
Weak to: Melee, mostly, but everything if you are able to hit them with projectiles.
SPIDER
I'm not going to include a picture of these in case there are some arachnophobes looking at this. If you want to see how it looks, just Google Resident Evil 2 Spider, but it is basically just a giant tarantula. Nothing too special.
The spiders usually live in the sewer. They are easy to kill, but upon death, their abdomen will burst open, releasing a flood of smaller baby spiders that will then jump on you and bite you.
All spiders are capable of poisoning you with a bite. The larger ones also drool and spit poison.
Weak to: Everything.
COCKROACH
Just a giant cockroach. Nothing that special.
They appear after a certain puzzle is solved. A flood of about 50 of them that will fly at you and bite you.
Easy to kill. Can be stepped on or melee'd in one hit.
Weak to: Everything, but melee most effective, as they fly.
GIANT MOTH/LARVA
Just a large moth that occupies a certain room. Its larva crawl around in the short hallway directly outside of the room, as well as inside, and will attack any living thing they see.
The moth itself can only hover a few feet above the ground, too disproportionate to be able to fly properly. It can, however, cling to and climb walls, and it uses the air conditioning shafts to hunt.
It will usually only attack if it is attacked first, unless it’s hunting. It attacks by using its wings to launch itself at the target, but it can also spit poison.
Weak to: Shotgun, grenade launcher.
IVY/PLANT 43
A somewhat mysterious creature, probably created by gene splicing, as they are capable of walking around on two leg-like appendages. They will spew acid and use their vines to whip you as forms of attacks.
If you use any form of fire on one, it will catch on fire and burn to death. A shot to the inside of its flower-like head will also instantly kill it.
In some cases, a downed Ivy will whip you when you walk near it.
Anti-B.O.W. gas will not kill this creature, instead causing it to mutate and its acid spit will become poisonous to humans.
Weak to: Fire and shots into its 'mouth'.
ALLIGATOR
Just a giant gator, mutated into an enormous size by the T-Virus.
Its hide has become hard enough to withstand damage.
Weak to: Trauma to the inside of the mouth.
MR. X/T-103
T-103 was dropped into the Raccoon City Police Department on a mission: to obtain one of the last remaining G-Virus samples. He will not be there right away, but rather will be dropped in once a certain puzzle is solved by someone.
He is huge, powerful, and even relatively fast, despite his looks, and will attack anyone that stands in his way. Like zombies, he is a damage sponge and takes a massive amount of damage to down. However, this only makes him faint. He will get back up at a later time and continue his mission, making for multiple encounters.
If he is somehow killed, he will mutate into the clawed form, becoming even deadlier.
The only way to permanently kill him is to blow his body into pieces.
Weak to: Powerful weapons, such as grenade launchers.

G/WILLIAM BIRKIN
Forms, in order: First, Second, Third Fourth, Fifth
G was created when the resident scientist, William Birkin, injected himself with the G-Virus in order to save his own life after sustaining multiple bullet wounds.
G appears unable to permanently die, as every time he is 'killed', his body undergoes severe mutations and becomes another form, seemingly 'reviving' him.
The first stage of G is slow, but incredibly powerful. He will either smash the lead pipe he holds over the heads of his targets, which does massive amounts of damage and floors them, or he will strike them in a different area of the body, sending them flying.
The second stage is still a large, lumbering brute, although slightly faster and more agile than the first. It uses claws instead of the pipe.
The third stage is probably the most agile, and is capable of climbing walls and the like. Again, it uses claws.
The fourth stage is the second most agile, able to jump high and run amok with ease. It attacks by impaling the target with the large spikes on its face(?).
The fifth stage is a large, slow, slug-like creature, but don't get too close. It may swallow you.
Like Mr. X, the only way to permanently kill him is to blow him into pieces.
G breeds by creating parasitic embryos, which are forced in through the mouth, usually by William himself, though if the parasites are on their own they may jump onto the target or towards the mouth in an attempt to get in. They then wriggle down into the stomach, where the incubation process is started. Side effects of being impregnated with one of these are stomach and chest pains, nausea, fever, and vomiting a white slimy substance.
If the host's DNA is compatible with William's DNA, they will mutate into another G creature. If not, the embryo mutates and bursts out of the body, only to slither away and continue its mutation. Like G, the 'adult' version can also create parasitic embryos.
G wanders the sewers and the Umbrella Laboratory that exist below the Raccoon City Police Department in search of his daughter so that he can share a parasite with her.
Pictured: The larger creature is how the parasitic embryo looks when fully mutated after bursting out. The smaller one it appears to be vomiting up is the one that enters a host.
Weak to: Large, powerful weapons, such as grenade launchers. The small embryos can usually just be stepped on or knifed, however.
Videos: Parasitic embryo 'hatching', but don't worry, it won't come out fully grown like this (It only does so in the video because of the way the particular game is set up. It comes out much smaller, but larger than it was when it went in, bursting out of the torso area sort of like a chest burster)
