Unapologetic Rei Kurosaki Fan

H/C #1: Rei has esper maternal grandparents— Her grandmother Mirei—心伶— was a classical singer and has sonokinesis (the ability to manipulate vibrations or sound waves). She now runs a resort on the southern end of Japan. Her grandfather Hiroaki—秀木—has xylokinesis (the ability to manipulate wood, including trees) and owned a high-end construction company while alive.

H/C #2: Rei's mom is not an esper and it creates massive tension. She was envious of her mother Mirei's abilities both musically and psychically and fostered a grudge even though her parents put everything into her pursuing her dreams. She just ended up not being cut out for it.

Later, Rei is pushed into piano and cello since a young child and given little to no time to make friends. She competes for years, until she randomly comes across Mitsuura and awakens her clairvoyance powers. Rei thinks that her mother would be pleased with this, but it only makes her mother more obsessed with pushing Rei to be an image of what she wanted to be.

H/C #3: Rei ends up living with her grandmother at the end of middle school due to her mother no longer being a fit parent to her (gambling problem & disappearing for days at a time) and stays with her until she's in her mid-20s.

In that time, Rei goes to college and becomes a physiotherapist and in that time also develops a second subset of her powers.

She had "foresight" and "hindsight" abilities—one allows her to foresee potential futures and the other allows her to view memories/images from a person's past by physically touching them (the more the person is thinking about an event, the clearer Rei can see it).

H/C #4: The first hobbies/passions she chooses purely for herself are running (esp early morning) and kickboxing. She also uses these sports to further train her clairvoyance to great effect.

H/C #5: Rei is demiaro/demiace, is open-minded to partnering (incl. poly) and is a great communicator. (I personally ship her in a QPP with Ritsu and Shou, though they don't necessarily 'define' their r/s with labels most of the time.)

H/C #6: Rei loves pop music (but her fave is Ayu, esp 90-00s era), classical music (she is a Rachmaninoff girlie), old rock, and old/traditional Chinese/Japanese music. Aside from the piano and cello she already knows, if Rei could choose, she would learn to play guitar, bass, and the guzheng.

H/C #7: Rei is able to make friends with just about anyone because she is rather easy-going and doesn't take perceived "stoic/harsh" traits personally when directed at her.

H/C #8: Rei is the tallest girl in adulthood (5'10" / 178cm barefoot), is the same height as Teru, and taller than Shou.

H/C #9: Once esper powers are researched more and there is a curriculum/certification system in place for espers to use their powers in tandem with their work, Rei is certified to use her clairvoyance to help with patient treatment (specifically her hindsight abilities for physical injury cases).
