This past life, which I think was a man, had a lot of bad luck - he needed a complete change and hopefully this is what your life will provide. He suffered from people conspiring against him, from loss, and from betrayal by a loved one - perhaps you feel some lingering effects of that mentally and spiritually, but remember that this life is meant to be a very positive and hopeful one for you. He was quick to love as well as anger, but also adaptive and quick to change, so I think he learned from the difficulties in his life and moved through them quickly, realising that he had paid too much attention to worldly success and had wasted his energies. I see him strongly as a student in a cold climate, watching and waiting for an important piece of news. He warns you not to misuse the power and privilege you have in the world, and to avoid or work on any exposure to depression or addiction. There is a real desire for life, for creativity and expansion and expression - a desire to widen surroundings and get outside. He spent too much time indoors. At a guess I’d say he had a Fire birthsign. He is important to ideas you are just beginning to have, hobbies you’ve just tried, emotions niggling away at you in their early stages. 

The betraying loved one was a charming man with a lot of energy, an apparent self-starter but someone who left things unfinished regularly. Somebody who ran away from his (or their) problems. A more positive masculine influence from that life to this is someone near your own age (perhaps even you, but someone closely aligned with you) who can be overbearing but is honest, brave, and communicative. Perhaps argumentative. Bravery and beauty are really strong themes coming through.

The woman in your past life was a powerful, even dangerous force in her world and community. I see a colonised place, possibly in the Caribbean or S Africa. She was intensely ambitious, focused on her mind more than her emotions. She was born in winter, most of the more turbulent events of her life, however, happened in the spring - lots of family birthdays then, I think. She didn’t succeed in everything she wanted in her life. Sorrow and bereavement blighted her and she had a tendency towards extremes, black-and-white thinking etc, finding herself unable to remember that others were in even worse need - even though those around her nudged her so to do. But she faced ruin and survived through sheer tenacity. 

She was closely connected - either by direct sexual relationship or membership of a love triangle, or possibly e.g. as daughter-in-law to this woman [I think this is the most unlikely of the three] - with an unfaithful woman with an equally dominant personality. This woman was most likely blonde or had light brown hair, and was intensely maternal and fertile: a wife. Also in her life was a dark-haired, perhaps black/African young man prone to exaggeration, and who in turn induced your past life to speak hastily and endanger her reputation. They spent a lot of time together; they both had a lot of energy. This relationship was marred by jealousy, but there was great love between them. I suspect one or both of them was an Aquarius, and I think they conceived a child together - but beyond that, I’m not sure. I know that she died happy.

Reading your past life doesn’t give me an absolutely clear directive on you and Italy. I think your past life was drawn there and probably visited but I don’t see past-M as Italian per se. I also don’t have a clear time frame, but I do get the name Giulia very clearly (which contradicts what I said about ‘not Italian’ - maybe of Italian parentage?). She was very nurturing and calming as a person, but especially she learned to nurture and calm her inner self, to feed herself emotionally. She was a strong character, although she seemed pliant and obedient, even passive. Her romantic entanglements tended to leave her stagnating, confused, and incapable of the emotional and intellectual movement she needed - I also wonder if there was a man who stopped her travelling. She wanted to focus on her ‘work’, whatever she perceived it as being, but he stopped her. Happily, her will - and the capacity for what was strongest, even heroic in her - triumphed and predominated over his. You stand to learn and benefit from all those qualities. I think if anything she felt romantically starved and I get the impulse that this time round, fertility and creativity need to be expressed and experienced as much as work and self-control and heroic responsibility for fulfilling your intellectual and civic potential. Overindulgence and self-sabotage are always possible, and no romantic life can ever be without pain, but it is possible to have it all, or at least more of the “all” than she was able to before, I think because of the man she was involved with - she did manage to triumph professionally and intellectually, but at the expense of her romantic life, or at least of finding emotional fulfillment in another person.

I get a strong feeling here for a woman with a mind inclined towards multi-tasking, who was able to bear with uncertainty (which is good because she had a lot of false starts and changes of direction - sometimes accompanied with big blights of disappointment), and who although capable of hard work could also be deeply unreliable in her professional life. She was always compassionate. She had brown skin and black hair. She was born in the autumn, she was connected to water - I can picture her trying to think things through while looking at water. The numbers six and three were important to her. I think she probably had a child or cared for a child born in 1863, I lean towards the latter because I think she had some sort of fertility problem. She was the daughter of a woman who had had an incredibly difficult life - I wonder if she was a freed slave? The dates would line up. This was a woman who sustained herself in difficult times (which were sometimes of her own making) with happy memories. The big impulse I have here is a sense of arrested motion, and also a couple of big swooping moments where she lost a loved one.

I think this life has big repercussions for your physical health and your creativity, but I’m not sure how (super unhelpful, I know). She was sustained by hope and the ability to root herself in the tangible whenever things got away from her. She is primarily your guide for emotional and creative issues in your life. 

This was somebody who felt frustrated in their creativity, and who overstressed the link between creativity and pain or darkness. This woman’s money came from trade and business. Possibly she speculated well on the outcome of a war. She was physically healthy, sexy, and enjoyed the good things in life (including sex, that’s VERY obvious, well done her, rather a restrictive era).  The number five comes through strongly, which might mean either Thursday or the month of May (that’s not strictly traditional but it tends to be how my readings play out). Or perhaps a year ending in 5 but I’d doubt it. She restored order to a venture (perhaps a father or brother’s) which was beset by corruption, mischief, in-fighting, and became very successful. Unfortunately this atmosphere is somewhere in your own life, but you have it within you to change that. The past life reading I’m getting was for a woman, a woman who was always attracted to her opposite. Her faith was very important but her sexual/romantic attractions tended to be towards the secular which caused her a huge number of problems. But the love relationship which defined her is the heartbeat of this reading. The man to whom she was attracted was a stronger personality than hers in some ways - more courageous, more physically daring, but also more associated with illness, he was never far from disaster, but took it all rather more lightly than she could. He was an honest person, and able to start again whenever things went wrong - something she found difficult even though her faith told her to be patient. 

Your past life was a young man, an artisan or craftsman who worked with his hands and prospered at it, balancing this with the care of his family. Around a third of the way through his life, he was blighted by a sudden failure of creativity which led to depression. He thought of the lack of creativity almost as a kind of ‘spiritual plague’ (interpret how you will, it’s the phrase that comes up for me). After a while, his health and productivity improved again and he also became more physically active. His family’s situation improved too. His is a very benevolent influence on your life in terms of balancing of gender traits and a sense of a very stable identity that HE had, which is potentially yours for the taking. The life that’s coming up for you, with me, was of a woman who was nurturing, financially secure, and made the most of her life. She brought things to fruition (maybe literally - I think she was either a gardener or just very strongly rooted in the place where she lived?). She was perceived as stereotypically feminine by the society in which she lived. 

Unfortunately, her life was blighted by disappointment: overindulgence proved destructive. A relationship (but not the major love relationship in her life, possibly a close friendship) soured very severely and abruptly. She grew disillusioned and (for a time) reclusive, losing touch with that relationship to the earth. In her grief, she struggled to focus, and oscillated between overwhelming herself with plans, and a struggle to put together any kind of ambitions at all. That terrible apathy she experienced could be a lingering pitfall in your own life. She had to reappraise everything she thought she knew, and as a result, there’s a kind of ‘unknown’ and ambiguity which hangs over some of the things you might want to attempt this time round. It’s important you learn from the courage which she had to display, and stay aware of your spiritual side and your beliefs system. Whether you believe in organised religion or not, you need to know very strongly what’s inside you, and what your personal ethics you are. 

One of your past lives comes out more clearly than the others. 

This was a woman who found it difficult to face things clearly and needed to look more closely and honestly in the situations that came up for her. She lived in the late nineteenth/early twentieth century and for location I would say England, but she travelled a lot and I suspect didn’t have an English accent. The colours grey and yellow were important to her. Beyond emotional relationships, she was blessed with a lot of friends - people whom I think recur in your life today, especially one person who is similar to you in outlook and tends to bring you information or gossip. She had a career (despite the era) but underhanded people recurred - it wasn’t just her emotional situation but also her profession that she needed to look at closely. In terms of her personality, she was quick to form judgments about people, both positive and negative. In this life the same lessons apply to you but to a less intense degree; above all it’s a matter of focusing on building your spiritual strength to avoid getting totally bogged down in the professional and material jealousies that either you feel or which others put onto you.
