Zenith, Astral whatnot

- corbeau flushes easily in the cold; adder gets cold verrry easily so he bundles to the max - emmet runs hot; his coat is basically for decoration - hemlock loves cuddling with/wrapping around emmet because he is a natural heater

- corbeau rarely drinks as he dislikes the bitter taste; if he does drink, it's usually a sweeter tasting alcohol (flavored soju or sake) or a mixed drink

- it's hard for him to get drunk due to his poison resistance; when he does, he gets a johtonian glow <- gets verrry red

- adder is a crying drunk; emmet is a giggle/flirty drunk

- post hisui ingo can smile much easier but it’s still difficult for emmet to frown

- corbeau did notice emmet’s crows feet first, but spotting the tail end of a joltik cemented his guess

I think this translates to corbeau being in complete denial of his own feelings and when he finally accepts that yeah maybe he is in love with mr. gray and is capable to having these emotions and is allowed to have these emotions, he’s gonna have fun with it SKSKS

- ingo is honestly just relieved that emmet was able to find someone that could help him through his absence

- he knows emmet well enough (at least after some of his memories of emmet finally resurfaced) to know that without something to distract him (first it was taking care of gear station and then it was his global search for him and then even still it was lumiose and it’s resident mafia boss) his brother would spiral badly

- as corbeau grew busy with building up the rust syndicate, him and lysandre saw each other less and less. and I think that perhaps a year or two before lysandre decided to end the world, he’d invite corbeau to the cafe for one final heart to heart: something they hadn’t done in a very long time

- and I’d like to think that corbeau can immediately see that there was something different about lysandre, an emotion he couldn’t quite name (something severe, heavy) and something he hadn’t dared asked about.

- and though there is no dialogue I like to think that lysandre’s last conversation with corbeau ending along the lines of him subtly questioning if he shared the same sentiments as him of the current state of the world:

- with a world growing uglier everyday - like a stain that seemed to persist no matter how much you washed it - and the amount of people who carelessly take and take growing in number: was such a world truly worth the effort?

- and corbeau - who was taught by his very man to see the beauty of this world above all else - instantly and without a shred of doubt, responding yes, he did think it was worth the effort.

- and it was in this moment that lysandre - jaded and nihilistic and worser still, determined - knew that this little crow he helped raise would never understand what needed to be done

- i would think this conversation haunts corbeau to this day. a big what if that would provide no answer

- here’s a bit of the conversation I couldn’t flesh out enough to be truly satisfied (lysandre is surprisingly really hard to nail down dialogue wise ToT)

- corbeau hadn’t slept in 52 hours because he was finishing up a contract draft for a time sensitive deal; adder stayed up nearly the same amount of time, give or take a 2 hour power nap

​- adder, due to his size, had an effect delay on the sleep powder so he was able to catch corbeau before they both passed out

- corbeau actually listens somewhat (though he may tune out the rants if he’s working)
