Vexâs Brief Guide to Eureka Pyros :: Part 1 - The Frozen South
âIs it gettinâ âot in âere, or is it just me? Itâs likely me, sorry âbout that!â
So, Pyros. Iâm sure many of you have seen the fancy new hair, the stylish flame yeti, and those shiny new horns, as well as all those pieces of furniture and wondering - just where do I begin? Thatâs what this guide is for!Â
Iâll be splitting this into two parts, dedicating this one to the level 35 - 40 experience, and what to expect when you get in there. Once Iâve had the opportunity to do more, Iâll put up a part 2.Â
So! First impressions. Foremost among these is that Pyros plays a lot more like Anemos than Pagos, itâs pretty easy to see that Square took a lot of the feedback from Pagos and used it to refine Pyros to be a better experience.Â
Whatâs the best way to level in Pyros? FATE training is back with a vengeance! It is pretty much the best way to level in Pyros, with most parties finding mobs that trigger an NM and grinding those. The good news is that the NMs pop frequently and are worth quite a good deal of E-EXP. Levelling is nice and quick here.Â
Ever wanted to play a WHM tank? Or perhaps a NIN tank like the old FFXI days? Youâre in luck, because this is completely possible. Find yourself a Wisdom of the Platebearer and youâll have a similar HP pool and armour to a tank, complete it with Incense L for taunting and aggro. You can have both duty actions available at the same time.
The better news? SE have improved upon the Elemental Conflict system as per Pagos feedback, the Bunny FATEs now gives E-EXP, and it pops around every 10-20 minutes if not a bit less or more, but itâs pretty frequent and rewards around 300,000 E-EXP and 2 Pyros Lockboxes, as well as a Happy Bunny, should you be lucky! You will learn to love the Happy Bunnies if you didnât already because youâll be doing this a lot should you want anything!Â
Once again, I hope this helps anyone who needs it, and best of luck in Pyros!
To those looking at getting into Eureka, I have guides for Anemos and Pagos.Â
The Elemental Level Cap for Pyros is 50
The Aetherytes are attuned at level 37, 39, 41. These being South, Central, Northwest, respectively.Â
Youâll need 150 Pyros Crystals and 10 unlocked Logos actions for your +1 relic weapon.Â
Remember that Eureka NMs drop Genesis Tomes! Itâs a great way to cap each week and do something in the process!
The big new mechanic in Pyros are the Logos System and its associated Mnemes. You unlock new Logos actions by mixing the shards you get from Logograms (These will drop a lot in Pyros, worry not!)
Logograms can be appraised by Drake, who stands right next to the Logos Manipulator, and you can also review all of the Logos actions youâve unlocked in his submenu, too. Youâll notice that 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 are all circled, talk to Gerolt each time you get here!
Happy Bunnies that you get from the Elemental Conflict FATE âWeâre all Mad Hereâ will only lead you to chests around the south area of the map, so donât be afraid of a Bunny attempting to get you murdered by leading you into the volcano.
Crabs, Scorpions, and Slimes all aggro on sound, RP walk to get past them. The inkwell mobs around the Surgate Town Hall also seem to aggro on sound, but that part Iâm not sure about.
Happy Bunny Silver Coffers can drop both the New Hairstyle, Archeodemon Horns, and a Triple Triad Card.
Normal Pyros Lockboxes have been reported to drop the hairstyle.Â
Heat-Warped Lockboxes seem to be the source of the new boast/smug talking persistent emote. These drop from any mob, though the chance of this increases with level, and chaining mobs will increase your chances.Â
Mobs still mutate in Pyros.
Mobs will not aggro on to you if youâre around 3-4 levels above them.
There is a sixth magicite for your magia board in Pyros, though the drops are from NMs in the North, so weâll touch upon them in the next guide.Â
