So, I’ve never done anything like this but I wanted to see what others had to say...

I have a step mom who, isn’t exactly the nicest, makes me feel anxious. It’s the kind of anxious where, whenever I’m we’re in the same room, I can’t breath. I’m scared she’ll look at me or say something to me... I feel tense and sometimes get shaky—especially if a group of people are over, I feel like she’ll say something I did wrong or didn’t do enough.

Um, for about 5 years now I’ve lived with her and my dad. She used to lecture me for what seemed like hours on how I need to get my life together because I wasn’t doing enough and she’d tell me of a lot of things I hadn’t done. If she ever complimented me, it felt almost like an afterthought because of how much she’d say I didn’t do right...

An example of a lecture she gave me was something along the lines of: you’re lazy, manipulative, rude, ungrateful, have no empathy or sympathy, I’m surprised you’re doing well in school and you’re actually getting friends and have a boyfriend now. There are people younger than you who have climbed higher than where you are. Why don’t you have a proper job? Etc...

I don’t like saying I’m a victim of mental/emotional abuse but many I’ve talked to have said it is. I don’t like thinking she’s an abuser either. As much as I don’t like her, I don’t think she would do such a thing.

Or perhaps the Ferris Wheel of Sadness? It’s perfect for those who want to get so high in emotions that they start crying at the very peak only to do it all over again! :DD

But let’s not forget the favorited rollercoaster that combines Fear, Anxiety AND Depression where you ride through narrow tunnels for what seems like an endless time and finally reach the sky only to loop around and around until nothing makes sense. And the best part is when the ride slows you down to show you all your life and then your frustrations and fears :DDD
