Hi, my name is Fae and I’m a non-binary, trans feminine weaver. I’m currently studying in Japan and am trying to move to the Netherlands by the end of March 2026 after the semester ends and I have to leave.

As a trans American, it’s not safe for me to return to the US. I’ve tried other avenues (job hunting in other countries), but by moving to the NL and applying for the DAFT visa, I’ll be able to start my own business (Warped Peach Weaves). Thus far, it’s my best option.

I’m asking for donations to help cover the overall cost of moving and applying for the visa. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated. Please also feel free to share this post and the link. Thank you.

People have always said I have sun-kissed checks and a radiant smile.

Bright, blond curls and brilliant skin.

Gold flecked eyes with a fire buried deep.

A soft touch that brings warmth.

Laughter that brings images of the morning light to mind.

A soft spoken voice with hidden undertones of harshness.

If only they knew the truth behind their words. For those who do know, have either sealed their lips or moved on to other realms.

When asked my name, I speak my truth. None believe as it is an old name long forgotten and those who do, do so in disbelief.

For it is the name my father bestowed upon me as he did later my wings.

It is the same name Apollo breathed back into me after I touched the sun.

It is the same name I had forgotten.

All the stories of falling into the sea are true, but not fully. I did fall into the sea. Not because the wax of my wings melted, but rather for love.

Love that had grown too large to bear. Too hot to hold.

Love that had become cancerous when it should have been soothing and safe.

Love that had taken all that I had to give. Love that had left me hollow, ever wanting for more.

Thus is the way of the gods. To take, rarely to give.
