Noho Hank x Cristobal Sifuentes

A/n: this is my first fic (that I have actually posted anywhere) so please don't expect much of it. Also if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes please let me know and I will fix it. I am also open to criticism as long as you aren't rude about it. Thank you for reading!

Life was never fair. But it's especially unfair now. 

Cristobal had left Hank in a burning bus for God's sake. And they left Hank to be saved last. His own men were ignoring him. Like he was nothing. To make matters worse Barry won't help. He's the only one they will listen to. Hank really needs him to step up as a leader. 

His failure to kill Esther was a surprise. Barry had been such a good shot. Why couldn't he make the hit? Of all times now? And of all men to rat Hank out it was accordion guy? Seriously? Hank was truly at a loss.

Now his men had taken over the temple which is... nice. They have basically abandoned Hank in it. They do everything without him. At least he has a new place to work in. Conditions are better than how Cristobal had them living after the oopsie with Esther. Silly Barry. He will be paying for that. 

Most of all he misses Cristobal. If everything would have gone as planned he would have had a 50/50 with Cristobal. If it wasn't for the damn accordion man. What did Cristobal see in Esther anyway. She was supposed to be the enemy; it had been that way for like years. Sure she had a great idea with the whole 'religious freedom' thing but it's not that amazing. Like Hank could have totally done that. It's a simple concept really. And what would business with her even help. She's like not even a good competitor. 

Maybe Cristobal will change his mind and realise that he really does need Hank. Then everything could go back to how it was before. Hank and Cristobal. The strongest mob in the field and absolutely unbeatable. On the bright side, things are better than they were when he was with Goran. Goran was such a drag. He had absolutely no personality.

Hank doesn't really like his family honestly. The Chechen mob is not the nicest group and they definitely do not approve of the alliance with Esther. That is the one thing he agrees with his family on. If Hank doesn't get rid of Esther soon his family is definitely going to try to kill him. As mommy always used to say "хьо хьай да санна разочарование ю".  She wasn't really a big fan of Hank when he was young. Or old. She just doesn't really like him. 

He isn't particular popular in his family because he is "ГӀийла" or as he likes to say "kind hearted". He can't help that he is nice, it comes naturally to him. Now it was really time to toughen up though for he was going to see Cristobal today. It was time he gave Esther a piece of his mind and told Cristobal that he should join him once again. Hank had to be strong. It can be easy to get lost in Cristobal's eyes but he must stand his ground today. If he's strong willed he may be able to get Cristobal back and get Esther out of the picture. That homewrecker. He also may be able to get his family back home to stop trying to kill him. But who cares about that?  This is about getting Cristobal back. 

He asked Barry for outfit advice. That was a big failure. Barry is dull as ever. Always talking about "how did you find me" and "Hank I need you to leave" and "Hank you are scaring me". What a silly guy. Maybe he should have asked one of the acting class people. That would probably freak out Barry though. Who cares anyway. He is such a stick in the mud guy. Hank decided not to tell his men where he is going. They probably do not care about him anyway. He really hopes Barry will come around to helping him control them. He checked the clock. 3:06 am.  For any normal person that is a crazy time to proposition someone. But Hank is part of the Chechen mafia. That is an okay time to talk. Especially about drugs and deals

It was already 3:30 by the time he made it to Cristobal's meth house. The temple was a pretty far drive. Not too terrible. No wonder Esther was able to slither in so easily. Stupid Esther. If she wasn't here everything would have been great. Cristobal would only care about him and she wouldn't be getting in the way. This will be a difficult feat. He tried getting rid of her before but look where that left him. Getting dragged out of a burning bus and living in the drug and weapon smuggling temple with no Cristobal. Perhaps a different approach will work better. One without violence and an army that has a useless accordion player that rats you out. 

The door was unlocked so he just walked in. On the way to find Cristobal he saw something beyond horrifying. Esther was sleeping in his room. HIS ROOM. Does Cristobal have no care for him at all? It feels like everything is going wrong lately. Maybe he should take up yoga. Be could probably get a discount on those pants since Barry works at lululemon and they would look nice on him. Maybe that'll make Cristobal want him back. He can make him jealous. Use the high school gossip girl method. Show him what he's missing out on. Maybe another day, if this plan doesn't work. 

Cristobal's room was only a few rooms awayy from Hank's which is currently being invaded by a jackal. Cristobal was awake. Not a surprise. He liked to be prepared and he likely heard Hank come in. 

"Cristobal". Hank was so happy to see him he almost forgot what he was there for. "I need to talk to you. It is important". He needed to stand his ground. He couldn't let Cristobal talk over him. This is his chance to get Cristobal back and the respect of his family, but mostly Cristobal.

Cristobal turned to face him, "here to apologize? What do you have, Barry's head?" Cristobal didn't seem too excited to see him. It was starting to hurt Hank's heart. Why couldn't he just be with him. Oh right, Esther.

"Yes and I have a really good point you know. Well no to the whole Barry's head thing. Barry is my friend, he made a mistake". He was already starting to get off track but he could save this.

"A 'friend' who made a mistake? That sounds familiar". Cristobal was brutal today. This is no good. 

"I know I know it looked bad but to be fair you did try to burn me alive in a bus. I mean I know I did the bad thing first but don't you think we are even now?" Cristobal didn't look too pleased with that answer. Some friends they are. 

"Okay well if it looked bad, what was really going on Hank? You can't just say it was a misunderstanding and we are even. You betrayed us Hank. You hurt me and broke our trust. I thought things were going so well". Cristobal was definitely not a faker. He really did look devastated. That made Hank feel worse. 

"Cristobal-" he started but paused immediately. "I'm sorry. I let my jealousy take over and I did things wrong but I need you to hear me out about Esther". Cristobal wasn't shutting him down so he gained confidence in his words. "So as you know, the Chechens and Burmese do not like each other very much. We have been rivals and competitors for like years and working with the Burmese is like totally bad for my image. Which you may be thinking 'Hank, since when do you care about what people think about you?' Well, my family sent me a bullet as a threat much like we sent to you before we knew you were all chill. And Chechens can be very serious about their threats. I mean Barry didn't end up killing you but that was because of weird military guys that tried to help him. They will definitely not stop their threats until they get me or I kill Esther, you know?" 

He took a breath and smoothed out his pants before continuing, "So I thought it would be like super cool idea if I had Barry shoot Esther with the bullet and then grab it so that I could send it back to my family back home right? That would give me like so much credit to my family and they would finally take me seriously. But then Barry totally backed down for whatever reason and then got caught. And so I ask him to train my men because they shoot like headless chicken and Barry suddenly refuses to kill right? And that was actually going really well but then the stupid accordion guy, who invited his ass anyway, told you what we were doing and that was not very cool of him. And then you totally misunderstood and thought that it was some sort of like attack on you which it definitely wasn't. I actually was doing it to help you because the Burmese suck and would be bad business partners. Not to mention, Esther was getting in the way of us and our super strong Chechen-Bolivian alliance which is like totally uncool." He takes a deep breath. "Wow. that was a lot". 

Cristobal seemed to have let his walls down a bit. "Why didn't you tell me your family was upset,my friend?" Hank paused. He hadn't really thought of that before. He probably should have. Cristobal is a pretty nice understanding guy. He probably would have helped Hank get out of the situation. He probably would've gotten rid of Esther if he was honest with him. 

"I'm sorry Cristobal. You are like the best person. I totally messed up this thing and I really like working with you". Cristobal stood and Hank hugged him, defeated. Cristobal was so warm and Hank was so damn tired. 

"We are even enough". Cristobal pats Hank's back. "You give Esther her temple back and I'll explain things to her. We don't have to work with her but we will stay in alliance. It is good to keep your competition close". Hank was beyond relieved. He was getting another chance to be with Cristobal. That was like getting another chance to live. 

"Should we have coffee together? One of our investors sent in a machine. It is very good". Maybe life was fair after all. If Hank is with Cristobal nothing else can bother him. Hopefully his family calls off the bounty or whatever. Dying would not be a good way to end his day.
