Dedicated to the ot3 of Zack, Cloud, and Aerith

So I was working on my Clerith contest entry, pointing out parallels between Cloud and Aerith’s relationship and other Final Fantasy couples, and it occurred to me how much I’d undersold the similarities between VII and XV.

From the Omen trailer alone:

- The hero being manipulated into killing/almost killing the heroine by an evil force

- The hero and heroine having a spiritual connection that allows them to see each other across the veil of dimensions

- That shot of the hero realising the heroine is present, trying to see her and being separated in reality, even if their hearts are connected

- The flower field scene from AC: Complete’s credits being recreated in visual details (yellow flowers, hero on black vehicle, the pose of Aerith/Luna)

- Opposing colour schemes, white/black for NoctLuna and blue/pink for Clerith

- Theme naming - Cloud and Aerith for the earth and sky, Noctis and Luna for the night and the moon. Not complete opposites but complementary elements of nature

- Noctis and Luna’s connection in Omen being very similar to Cloud and Aerith’s in Advent Children - the hero looking for the heroine, sensing her presence, them being linked as a team in spirit

- Luna hinting in Kingslaive that her duty is to help Noctis, and having a very self-sacrifical nature similiar to Aerith’s

Was enchanted by the lovely art of @erinciahero for Clerith. Wanted to apply screentone for it for a while now, so I did. Wanted to do some coloring too, but I got lazy after the screentone. Texture overlay it is.

Pardon my shadowing, I suck at that. Still learning how to apply screentone and shadows, but I hope I did a good enough job for this piece of art.
