Where's that tweet about how American chants are "let's go [team name] and some other country (Irish?) fans are "I've made up a song about the other team's drinking problem to the tune of London Bridge Is Falling Down one two three"?

😈 You are not bound by the Hays code.
😈 You are allowed to have evil characters who are not punished by the narrative by the end of the story.
😈 You are allowed to have evil characters who win.
😈 You are allowed to have evil characters who make evil look fun and cool.
😈 You are allowed to make your fun, cool evil character the protagonist.
😈 You are allowed to glorify, romanticize and eroticize evil characters and villainous acts.
😈 You are not obligated to teach your audience a moral lesson.
I genuinely think Mouthwashing fandom is a good example on how real life misogyny is very wired on people brains and influenced how they engage with fictional misogyny.
You have a story about a woman being assaulted and telling a man she trusted but being dismissed because he is friends with the attacker, and people fixate on shipping her with either of those men.
You have a story about how men that downplay their male friends violence, assume neutrality is the safer option, unintentionally help create an environment that's unsafe to vulnerable people, at a risk becoming a victim themselves. And people make it about toxic yaoi.
You have a character kill herself because she didn't want birth the child of her abuser. And people make AUs where she happily keep the baby.
Misogyny isn't just "I hate women", it's also downplaying their trauma, defending those who caused it, and reducing them to mothers or wives against their wishes under this idea of what womanhood is about.
I don't think we can separate fandom misogyny from it's real world influence, not yet.
You know that whatever character did those problematic things isn't like. Real, right?
You are aware that a fictional character is just a rhetorical construct designed to fulfill a narrative/thematic purpose right? That their actions are written by an author who wants to use them to explore complex ideas and moral gray areas within the safe confines of fiction right? That they aren't a real person who has killed real people right?

the irredeemable pervert is generally well regarded among their friends for their insightful thoughts and all around pleasant demeanour
There's always a moment of intense cultural whiplash whenever I realize I'm talking to someone who thinks "legal" and "illegal" are meaningful categories and ascribes innate goodness to following the law. It's like meeting a space alien.
full offense intended i don't need generative ai because my brain is absolutely magnificent and my hands are skilled and fast. i can design several variants of an image, 2d or 3d, within minutes and i can quickly draw rough drafts of those images and within an hour or so i can make completed drawings. my imagination is enough. Also i'm beuatifull
The worst thing about hyperphantasia is that intrusive thoughts are 500x worse.
genuinely just realized today that most people aren't constantly scanning the objects around them and creating 3D models of those objects in their brain
what do you mean you're not doing that literally right now. what the fuck

Tbh the Eptsein Class loves generative ai bc they don't want the masses to think for ourselves
Billionaires & CEOs & the general ruling class want us not to think for ourselves & the relatively sudden push of ai is just their latest tool to prevent us from doing so. imagination, communication, patience, passion, these are things that keep you sharp, calm and engaged with life. they want u to give those things up so youl shut up n do what you are told (aka, work endlessly, breed & die.). Not everyone who uses ai is a fascist, but fascists love ai.
watched an amazing late 80s dyke porno last night abt two suburban dykes hiring a leather butch escort n theres a lil scene where the butch like chastises them abt safe sex and dykes being able to get AIDs too it was incredible lmao
damn okay giving the people what they want !
it doesn't surprise me that this film had a little homily about AIDS. the woman on the left is Sharon Mitchell, who was a big advocate for AIDS testing in the industry and founded a clinic specializing in testing adult film actors for AIDS. she's a public health legend with a PhD in human sexuality.
i had no idea! thanks for sharing, thats awesome

I would love to see a fantasy novel where the lore that the reader / protagonist learns at first is not true
e.g. they're told that this kind of creature has some kind of psychic or pheromone-based "mate bond" that cannot be broken; but it turns out that's a popular myth that has never been scientifically substantiated, and is basically used to keep people in bad relationships (basically the equivalent of "human women are biologically submissive")
"lore" is imo too often treated like information that the author is giving the reader, and it just happens to be using the medium of diagetic (that is, 'in-story') exposition.
it's so much more interesting and dynamic to treat "lore" as information that is generated and disseminated in-story. who is telling the protagonist this information? under what historical and social circumstances was this idea formed? what political motives are there for trying to get people to believe this information? which characters would disagree with it? would the protagonist believe it, or be sceptical? does the plot bear it out, or cast doubt on it?
i don't want to be a girlboss i want to be a girl boss's favorite and most competent butch girl henchwoman. girl enforcer. girl right hand. etc etc
