The old saying “if you don’t use it you lose it” has been ringing true this past couple weeks. If you noticed me posting a lot of skateboarding stuff in my stories, it’s because I’m trying to get back into the swing of it. I used to skate every day and night before I moved to LA. That was 11 years ago or so. I was in shape, and felt good back then, and moving out here going straight to working on a computer all day for 11 years has definitely taken its toll on me physically. When I skate now, it feels like I’m wearing a lead vest. Aka I’m a fat ass lol. So I have started skating again and I hit it at dawn every day for a couple hours. It is insanely hard to pull myself out of bed that early but once I’m up, I’m glad I’m up. The first couple days getting my legs re-conditioned was the worst. I could barely walk the entire weekend, but now all the old muscles are gaining their memory back to where I can skate hard and still feel fine.
