i use the words i love you casually, and recklessly at times. but i found that birthday cake is better at midnight and i love you is better when you don't hesitate, when you don't wait for an occasion to say it, so here it is

i love you

and not in the special occasion kind of way

in the hot cup of tea on a monday morning kind of way

i love you in banging our heads on a queens record kind of way

in those little smiles and smirks on chbosky's humour

on those little post it notes at home kind of way

listening to every word of yours at the end of the day when you're in my arms

I'll tell you, waste everything. waste their time, thoughts, energy, everything. but rather have loads of serotonin that's for sure. diverted from the things you 'need' with the things you 'want'. that's it. and the certainty that it will end is pure. nothing lasts. and that's the worst phase someone could experience not mentioning the more time wasted on thinking of the pasts and other meaningless things and end up scribbling on their notes app.

I've learnt this thing this year,

when you ever fell demotivated or distracted from what you want to archive on things that does no good to you like thinking of how to fetch more friends, how to be good on socials, how to be like that one person who is perfect, just think about what will happen when you get it. you will always be running for something bigger than what you have. no matter how successful you are now. so always, i say always be grateful for what you have. failed an exam? be greatful that it happened to see where your mistakes were, not able to maintain a relationship? be greatful that you have someone in the first place.
