Honestly Erik would be fairly happy with haunting the abandoned opera house.
It has been ten years since the Opera Garnier was closed. While it was open, it had allegedly been haunted by a ghost, the infamous Phantom of the Opera. Even now, rumours of a malicious spirit still surrounded the building. Many times since the opera house was closed, businessmen have eyed the prime location with greedy eyes. But they have all been dissuaded some way or another, with claims that the deserted building was haunted.
Every now and then, certain brave souls would venture into the building, whether in an attempt to conduct business matters, or to disprove the existence of the ghost, or as a show of bravery. All of them always returned from the shadows of the ruin with pale faces, swearing that there was truly a Phantom within. Some claimed that they saw a figure which took the distinct form of a tall man in a cape and fedora. Others received a warning to leave from a disembodied voice. Some saw the gleam of a white half-mask amid the shadows. And yet others heard music that could only the creation of angels, yet it was played with the dexterity and skill of a demon’s fingertips.
No one dared to intrude upon the Phantom in his palace. And so, the Opera Garnier remains, to this day, untouched.
