I usually don’t interact with those posts much and I try to avoid them, but whenever I see those posts I feel the need to comfort her or defend her in some way.

My struggle is that my f/o is mentally ill and people are often ableist towards him as a result. I’ve blocked people for calling his actions during a mental breakdown his “true self” and for referring to him with dehumanizing terms like “beast” and “monster”. I’m also mentally ill (not to the same extent, but still) and I feel very protective of him. He was already emotionally and mentally abused by an uncle who treated him as a “monster” just because of symptoms of his (f/o’s) trauma disorder - he doesn’t need more people doing that.
Also, if 🌨️ anon isn’t taken, can I have that signoff?
People like that REALLY piss me off! Folks who villainize characters who are mentally ill are SO FUCKING annoying and just. It disgusts me! I get why you’re protective anon! And it is COMPLETELY reasonable!

It's crazy to me how I engaged in an ongoing discussion (where there were multiple relevant anons) and said "Yeah! Just make sure you're not strictly objectifying the character, or other yumes will get upset" and I got attacked over it.
I'm so sorry you're going through this admin. I saw someone else responded and understood where I was coming from with it, they don't seem to be a yume account necessarily but it's nice to know that someone got what I was going for.. I never said Alloaros aren't valid. I just said pls don't treat characters (or people) like objects pls and thank you.
To put an end to this, once again, I'm also aroace - I get not having "stereotypical" attractions, and it's A okay to get into source BECAUSE that character is hot. I never claimed it wasn't. I literally just said please don't use being aro as an excuse to do the shitty allo thing of "I'm going to ignore source material and NEVER engage and characterize them how I want" which others have actually already brought up seperately? And in the comments, too, on that ask. I'm really sorry that this got blown out of proportion, and that you've had to shoulder this.
If y'all want to cause problems, maybe don't drag admin in for listening to their audience & posting the stuff they get. This is literally why more blogs like this don't exist. If it'd been read in full, I'm pretty sure it'd be clear it wasn't directed at anybody who actually engages with the source material.. Only those who don't.
