I talked to someone who’s Russian-American and pro-Ukraine, even has lost some family on the Ukrainian side. It was nice to see that at least some people even with that national background are decent. I wish more people were and can’t understand why most seem not to be.

There's nothing confusing about that to me, to be honest, because like I've said, it's not about ethnicity.
I know ethnic russians that have grown up in Ukraine, have Ukrainian citizenship, speak Ukrainian and are now fighting in the Ukrainian armed forces.
To me, nationality is a political thing, and as far as I'm concerned, these people are Ukrainians just as I am.
It would be stupid to think hatred was in someone's blood, man. Hatred, chauvinism and imperialism are in the brain.
And unfortunately for most russians, even those who live abroad, they're raised in them since their childhood, cultivated by the adults telling them about the "great culture", "great language" and "great country", and how everyone else just "hates great russia for being so great and pure" while completely justifying all the atrocities they've committed throughout history.
It would take a lot of work to even attempt to undo that, especially since most of them would rather die than stop being "great".

many sharks are at least moderately social, and if a specific species of shark has the ability to breathe without actually swimming and tends to have a lot of sharks in a fairly small area, well.
they are just going to Pile. and there is simply nothing you can do about it.
also, fun fact! whitetip reef sharks in particular are SO damn cuddly with each other that they'll actively seek out a buddy or ten when they get sleepy!
it's pretty much slumber party or nothing for these guys. you won't find a whitetip sleeping alone except in the most dire and tragic of shark circumstances.
