There is so much parallels between Yukimiya and Isagi. They’re almost alike except Isagi has more luck than Yukimiya (as per EB2).
🌸🌱🐧🦐: I absolutely agree with you anon haha! The EB2 sound almost the same. Actually, there are so many parallels and some contrast between Isagi and Yukkimiya I could share below here.
Had happy parents but sad backstory.
Isagi and Yukimiya had both happy and caring parents (Yukimiya also had his father mentioned in light novel). Both Isagi and Yukimiya had had tragic backstories. Isagi passed the ball to his teammate but unable to win in the match before joining Blue Lock. On the other hand, Yukimiya suddenly had optic neuropathy as he was hanging out with his friends. Both of them started to lose hopes in not playing soccer (but they still tried) until they received a letter from both Ego (to Isagi) and Anri(to Yukimiya). Overall, Yukki's one is more tragic than Isagi's.
Isagi's birthday is on April's fool (1st April) while Yukki's birthday is 28th April.
Both of them had same dream of being the best striker after coming to Blue Lock.
Respects Ego but had beef with Noa
Isagi and Yukimiya was the only person who is comfortable and dare to ask questions to Ego. They had a good term with Ego. Ego also cares about them as well as other players. Unlike Noa, they got mistreated, together with, Hiori and Kaiser. Noa used Isagi to awake Kaiser and underestimated Yukki even though his training score was higher than Isagi before Barcha match.
Frick me, Isagi is hella scarier than Yukki!😭
Yukki wanted to steal Isagi's place of being MC but FAILED😭💔
If Yukimiya ever scored the goal in S2's match, he will be Blue Lock's star. Isagi be so depressed and pulling his own hairs. JUST KIDDING! Both are acting like protagonist, same goes for the rest!
Both of them are in spotlight
Isagi had interview and Yukki had commercial stuffs. Something tells me this two are in spotlight. Yes, they deserve to get recognised. I'm glad Knsr included Yukki as a model after the Manshine City match like a form of his identity.
They are so good at slurring at people.
In NEL arc, Yukki ALMOST slurs at Isagi. He even slurs at Chigiri and Nag but Isagi slurs at Yukki in full mode, same goes for others. Both Isagi and Yukimiya had the ability to traumatise people even though I wanna see this two got into physical fight. Watching them traumatising each other in the middle of Manshine City match made me have a good laugh.

Isagi and Yukimiya's aura in scoring NEL arc are weapons.
Isagi's aura is two volley gun while Yukki's one is sword screw. I can't wait to see their weapon combo in the next match from U20 World Cup.
Getting traumatised in NEL arc
Besides Isagi and Yukimiya traumatising each other, both Noa and Chris traumatised Isagi and Yukki in the match. I legit feel bad for them. They even overthink in the match coz of this. Still, this two managed to stay on the field strong and get into top 23. So proud of my boys!
Aren’t afraid of standing up to adults
Isagi ruins Noa's reputation when he was defending Rin from Loki while Yukki rejected other club's offer from Ego firmly and wanted to stay in Blue Lock.
Complex character development
In the start of season (for Yukki is S2), both of them were kind. As the season goes, they both slowly became aggressive and mean. I love two of their character developments.
Remember how both Isagi and Yukki apologised each other at the same time after Manshine City match? Yeah, they do not like seeing people getting hurt with unreasonable insults. They are still humans with a good heart ngl. I would never understand why both Isagi and Yukimiya's haters hated them because of their cold attitude towards each other. They are even proud at each other when they improved. Also, they even complimented their playstyle.
Isagi- He's INFJ, meaning he cares about people's emotion, according to EB2 under strength section ("Sees good in others"). He often do self-reflection and thinks mostly on how to improve the match. He is good at adapting the environment.
Yukimiya- He's ENFJ. Yukki is sensitive to conflict and rejection (it happened once in NEL arc with Isagi). He is willing to be acknowledged. He seems to be charismatic espeacially in being both footballer and model.
Yukimiya is more of yapper while Isagi is more of listener.
Their dislikes in subject (according to EB)
Isagi loves Art and but dislikes Science and Math while Yukki loves Science and Japanese Literature but dislikes Art😭 I was talking about Yukki and Isagi tutoring each other based on this post. It is soo funny that they had to tutor their dislike subjects but I don't think Yukki will learn Art from Isagi HAHA
Their influence on each other
Isagi to Yukimiya: Yukki sees Isagi as a mirror of himself. Someone who have the exact goal as him. He thought his old ways will help him to be the best striker. However, He even can't accept the reality. Then, Isagi taught Yukki to evolve and find his new ego. Yukki sees Isagi as a new god.
Yukimiya to Isagi: Yukki was challenging Isagi on what striker should do. Isagi passed the ball to Kunigami instead of scoring himself in Barcha match. Yukki assumed if Isagi continued to do that, he cannot be the world's best. I think Isagi had low self-esteem at the start of NEL arc.
The lucky vs unlucky (The part you mentioned, anon)
Isagi often appears to be lucky because he ends up scoring from unpredictable situations. He's like adaptive self-modeling like he is good at making decision, rebuilding his ego through matches, he cares about the process and he is willing to improve with feedbacks. Isagi often thinks about the probability of the outcome. On the other hand, Yukki appears to be unlucky due to his physical condition and time pressure but his real struggle is his identity fixation. He is thinking more about himself by dribbling past to six players, scoring goals by himself and often goes hard on himself. (in both S2 from Karasu and EB2's strength & weakness section, there was mention on Yukki like going strict on himself.)
Isagi suffers mentally while Yukimiya suffers physically but still alike lol.
Isagi: He uses spritual awareness, metavision, adaptability and more. He often reads the field and thought about next steps.
Yukimiya: 1-on-1 match, dribbling, predator eyes, flow state, speed and more. He is more on defeating the opponents in front of him.
Still, almost all of Isagi and Yukki's stuff overlaps with each other. That's why we often see similarities from these two. The difference I could think of is how do they adapt and respond to pressure. Honestly, they both are inspiring characters in my pov. I genuinely adore their friendship/rivarly/drama and would love to see them teaming up in the upcoming England match.
