Digital archive: touching the surface

Our minds are deeply hidden under our surface. Masked by numberless layers physically and emotionally, we don’t even actually know how our emotions function, while it is not only a part of biological reactions but also the most important factor that defines our lives. In this project, I want to explore how mental health issues are connected with our body's sensory, and how they can be represented to the public world. How does the tactile sense serve as a trigger of emotion, and further, a communication tool for emotion? Is our emotional expression public/private? How can two-dimensional graphics effectively mobilize, interpret, and foster communication of emotions on this very surface of our mind?
