Protest fell into Klee's voice immediately and she set upon grasping at the end of Rosaria's skirt to tug at it. The beach was so pretty and sparkly and sandy! Ever since the weather got warmer, she was looking forward to breaking out her nice summer clothes and going. "B-But Klee already has her big floatie and all her snackies and- and and Dodoco has Dodoco's swimsuit and Klee has her swim suit and ocean bombs and -- "

The longer Klee clung onto Rosaria's skirt though, the more noticeable the older woman's eyebags seemed to appear and the more she could hear just how tired she was. They had been hanging out for most of the day, after all - even someone as young as Klee could hear the difference in Rosaria's voice from the beginning of the day until now. Sure Klee wanted to go to the beach, but the other was right - they had to go together! Rosaria probably meant in terms of responsibility but Klee wanted to build sandcastles with her and share yummy food with the sister too!

Carefully releasing her grasp on Rosaria's skirt and even patting it smooth, she gently tugged at one of the sister's sleeves instead.

“Eerrrr…” Oh dear, it’s the MONSTER everyone is talking about. “N-no ! I look like a bad guy because I am actually an undercover Knight. You know how smart Master Kaeya is ? Well he put me there so I make sure no one disguises themselves as sisters and hurt Barbatos… I actually have a hard time, sometimes, monsters disguise not only as Knights but also as nuns, and they can do it really really well I cannot tell them apart..!”

Please give those staring bitches sisters a taste of their own medicine. He just wants to live without being spit on every so and then.

“An undercover knight...?” Ever curious Klee had made her way into the church to say hello to Barbara when she became really interested in the guy who always seemed to be standing in the same spot. All the sisters seemed to both ignore him and also whisper about him amongst themselves. Any conversations like that though, none of the sisters really let her listen to. If the sisters weren’t going to tell her anything, the only choice was to talk to the guy herself!

“Big brother Kaeya really is smart, you’re right! Uuu, but Klee doesn’t remember him or Master Jean talking about an undercover knight in the church... they would have told Klee... hmmm...” Monsters disguising as nuns and knights? Protecting? This was all a lot to take in for the little girl. She shifted on her feet a bit, seemingly working things out in her head before cupping a tiny hand to her mouth and whispering.

A small chuckle escaped her lips. Seeing their eunthuiasm. She can’t help but smile at it at first. She knew Klee sort of meant well. Even if the outrider really questions if this is even safe to do so. Least there is no one around, so there is no chance of anyone but themselves of getting hurt. Though…Upon thinking that, she could see that some of the little bombs rolling out. Being quick to react, so that they don’t roll off too far.

“Just be careful alright? I know you have experience with this, but handling explosives is very dangerous. Even if I am curious to see what you’re going for, as a knight, I have to ensure you’re safe when doing this. Some have already fallen out already.”

Duty calls first. She wouldn’t want herself to be in trouble with likes of Jean if she wasn’t supervising correctly, and Klee got hurt.

“I’ll put these back in the bag, unless you need them.”

“Oopsie... ehe... thanks big sister Amber!” Klee let out a sheepish laugh before holding open her bag for the outrider to drop those stray bombs back into her bag before something else happened. “I know though! Um, please forget that you saw Klee’s bombs falling out... Klee will be more careful now!” The forever mantra of how Jean could be dreadful if she was caught out was forever engrained into the young girl’s mind... and she didn’t want Amber to get in trouble for something that was her fault either! That wasn’t very knightly behavior. 

With all potentially dangerous things put away though, Klee was in her element! Making sure her bag was propped up in a way that wouldn’t make all the contents spill onto the floor, she retrieved the beloved new ‘boom boom’ powder that she had spent all of an afternoon hunting lizards for. Baron Bunny was so nice and fluffy... but she couldn’t stop and just cuddle the bunny when she was here on serious business! Carefully, she added some of the powder into the appropriate areas and made sure all the connections were all good and solid before handing back the plush to Amber. 

“Da da! New and better! Big brother Albedo said that this powder is really um... stable? It won’t go boom until you reeally want it to! But when it goes boom, it’s even bigger and lasts even longer! I tested it myself!” She stopped for a second, excitedly standing in place as if she was restraining a question -- that quickly came out anyway.

"Tone-deaf bard big brother!" With all the gusto that she said that name and title, it was hard to believe that those words could mean something negative coming from the mouth of another. Beaming up at the other, a whole mess of excited words came out of her, complete with big sweeping arm motions and the occasional jump whenever appropriate.

"Uuuu, where's Dodoco...?"

The crestfallen girl was doing her best to dig around the various grasses and rocks that lined the sides of the roads that she could have sworn she had just traveled over. When did her beloved Dodoco fall right off the side of her bag? Was it when she was climbing? Or maybe it was when she was trying to jump around the rocks in the lake? Maybe she should head home and then try to look again later when it was a little brighter out, but the thought of her poor best friend Dodoco spending a night outside alone in the cold was almost too much for Klee to take. A little sniffle was slipping from her when the fluffy keychain was offered unceremoniously to her by this person that her distress masked the approach of.

"Do... Dodoco...!!"
