what is "yrzx"?

"yrzx" is the acronym for Chinese manhua series 一人之下 (yī rén zhī xià) Under One Person: The Outcast, written and illustrated by 米二 Mi Er. The first chapter was published February 26, 2015, and the comic continues to update weekly. (manhua carrd | weibo)

Tencent Animation produced a donghua series of the same name 一人之下 Hitori no Shita The Outcast on July 9, 2016, with every arc in the original comic being adapted into 1–2 animated seasons. S6 is tentatively scheduled to broadcast late 2025! (donghua carrd | weibo)

The donghua has since been adapted into a live-action drama series titled 异人之下 (yì rén zhī xià) I Am Nobody (dir. 许宏宇 Derek Hui), starring 彭昱畅 Peng Yuchang and 王影璐 Wang Yinglu. The first two seasons (2023; 2025) were aired on Youku; the next three seasons will be moving to Tencent. (la carrd | s1–2 weibo | s3-5 weibo)

MoreFun Studios has also adapted the IP into a 3D action fighting game called 异人之下 The Hidden Ones. (website | twitter | weibo)

because the manhua has not been licensed in ENG and the Youku subtitles that exist for the drama are lacking, i prefer to use my own translations. for that reason, i often include both the original Chinese and my interpretation to minimize confusion.

 ☯️ What is Yiren Disco? 

It is a YRZX event that goes for nine days leading up to the donghua’s anniversary on July 09. There will be prompts for each day and three substitute prompts with a theme of Community that you can create for! It’s to celebrate all things YRZX—not just the donghua. So, whether you’re a dongman-only or a cdrama-only YRZX enjoyer, this event is for you~!

ANYONE! From artists and writers to video editors and GIF makers! Not in a creative mood during the event? You can participate by commenting on the fanworks or making rec lists for the given prompts!

The event will be hosted on both tumblr and twitter/X. You can post your work on either platform with the tag #yirendisco2026! Feel free to mention @yrzx-archive (@yrzx_archive on twitter/X) in your posts~ If you’re hosting your work on AO3, you can also add it to the AO3 Collection~

NONE! Create as much as you’re able to. If you can only write 100 words or make a rough sketch, feel free to post them as your fill!

Genfics, Slashfics, and reader-inserts are all welcome!  

18+ works are also welcome, just remember to tag them accordingly. This is a judgement-free space, so taboo and dead dove content are okay, as long as they are tagged and other people can easily avoid them if they want to.
