“Now onto the actual maknae, Ava—you have some deep connections in the entertainment industry. First, tell us about those. After, talk to us about what it's like to be the youngest member of You&You and also, the richest.”

"My connections in the entertainment industry, while of course they come from my parents being a part of it, and me being exposed to that side of the world very early on, also stem from.. quite the tale, dare I say. I've been lucky enough to have parents that have supported me going into the entertainment industry instead of feeling the pressure of there not being enough money, a privilege many do not have but I've also been quite... deranged. [Pauses to laugh] When I walked in, audition day, I don't know what on earth possessed me, but I said, with full confidence, might I add, that I was Bang Pd's daughter. Of course, that wasn't true, but then I go into my audition room, and lo and behold, Bang Pd's sitting right in front of me, staring at me, waiting. He doesn't say anything until after I'm done and just claims me as his daughter after! Oh, what a day that was! Alas, everything worked out in the end and so here I am. Better known as Bang Pd's daughter than anyone else. Oh my, god. What will we do when he actually has childr- wait. Does he have children? Jesus. But I think being the youngest and richest is so fu- excuse my language, it's very delightful. I just pull my 'i'm a baby,' card on my members all the time, and what can they do? Give in and give me a treat, of course! It's like having five really cool elder siblings... only they sometimes behave un-sibling like.. but let's not get into all that."

“The youngest of the group is a very special role. As the maknae, is there anything you'd like to point out about group dynamic? A lot of people describe the group they debut with as family, is this the case for You&You?”

"It's been like a family since I walked into the room with all these people. I have to say, I was quite nervous. I tend to stutter or fumble with my words a lot, and sometimes I freak people out with the things I say, you know? I was also worried because some of them already knew each other and so I thought they'd have this group that I'd be on the outside of... but I was very wrong. Our leader, nel, crushed me into a hug the second I step in, and everyone was just so nice and welcoming. Tell you what, I got the most laughs out of them too. I think I'm just really grateful we ended up exactly in the group that we did, you&you wouldn't be you&you without a single one of us replaced. I think being the youngest only adds onto that because you see these people, that you didn't know months before, and suddenly they're looking out for you, making sure you're not making dumb decisions- which I do make a lot of them, but then I get scolded! Can you believe that? It's a crime against me. But yes, in conclusion, we are and always will be family, because the connections that we've built over our long training period isn't the kind that fades."

“How exciting to watch you grow alongside this fantastic group! To finally wrap everything up. This is the maknae of You&You; Ava!”

“Our fake Maknae, rapper vivi—you have quite the rags to maybe riches story. I think there's plenty to explore there, don't you? Tell us how you ended up in You&You and that rumored underground rapper background.”

"[Laughs] Oh what a question! indeed the rumours you've heard a true. I was living on the streets for a while... my main source of income was my rapping. I'd be doing gigs wherever they would take me. If no one would take me I'd just preform on the side of the street. Eventually I began to gain traction online. That was great! More people wanted to see what I had to offer but of course that wasnt enough on its own. I was barely getting by. It was quite a difficult time to say the least. But one day, while i was freestyling for a crowd, two people approached me for an interview. Who you would now know as Ven and Lulu. Shoutout to my members!! I wouldnt be here without the hard work of them all. [Interviewer clears throat] Okay back to the story.. I heard something about a company? A group? Auditions? To be honest, I hadnt been paying much attention. It was all a bit surreal. They were impressed by me. They had wanted me under Oshistars. So I began training. At that stage I did not care much for debuting as soon as possible. I had a place to stay. I had kind people surrounding me. That felt enough."

“You're no stranger to an audience, but we're sure the amount of eyes on You&You must be new. As the rapper, tell us how this talent will mesh with the cuter concept? Do you write your own raps? Expand on this fake maknae business!”

"Of course when I preformed before i had eyes on me but wow.. being in You&You is on a whole other level. It was a bit difficult to adjust to all the constant observation and scrutiny but i fear that is not an individual experience but rather a common symptom of this industry. As for my integration with You&You's concept... [Laughs in between each word] Sorry i just remembered something! Ah theres tears in my eyes! The cute concept felt like a bucket of ice water was thrown on me. It was the total opposite of my rapper aesthetic. I remember the first time the stylist had put me in a pink dress with pink bows I felt so out of place. I was moving so stiffly the entire time. That's not me implying i hated it! But it was for sure something very new to me. As time has passed i think I suit the concept quite well, I'm sure the me'nus can vouch for me. And yes I do write my own raps. Ive been writing other songs too perhaps you'll see me in the writing credits of future albums. Keep an eye out! [Sighs] Now this is a longgg story but the main part is we had all assumed i was the maknae. Until one day... the group was on a predebut trip, Nellie had Ava's and I's passports as we were both minors at the time. Only then did we realize Ava was younger than me?! By only 4 days in fact. That played a factor in the "rocky" relationship I had with Ava at the beginning of my time under Oshistars. But we're running out of time so I'll keep that story for another day."

“So, Maymallow, the amazing all rounder—what is there you can not do? Sources tell us you have the funny story on how you entered into the company and now into You&You. It would be wonderful if you could sit down and tell us about that full experience.”

"So, funnily enough, I actually auditioned at first to impress someone. I had a not-so subtle crush on her and by the time she was eliminated I was already in deep, I guess. I had already fallen in love with this dream and even though it wasn't originally in my five-year-plan so to speak, I don't think I could see another life for me."

MAY’S FAVORITE…

ꪆৎ. hobby: i make all my own paint (and sometimes paper) out of natural materials, so i really enjoy that process of finding my colors and then turning raw material into pigments into paint and then into paintings!

ꪆৎ. place: i love lighthouses! so boats, piers, beaches, lighthouses themselves. anywhere i can see one, really.

“Not onto the big stage yet but we're sure your talent will stun crowds. As the all-rounder, is there anything about the group that you thin k truly sets you guys apart? Any niche or fun things about yourself and your fellow group members that you think draws fans in?”

"Genuinely, I think its the harmony that exists between all of us members. We just work together, as a team, but also as people. Even without the group, I have no doubt that we would all be really good friends. I know that they're going to listen to my ideas, value my opinions, and have my back. I think thats what makes us special. That this dream is truely authentic, and our bond is genuine."

“Now that is one exciting group to keep tabs on! Not sure how people could possible resist! I mean, we're already hooked just listening to you speak. It is the all-rounder of You&You; Maymellow!”

“Venus, Venus, Venus. The literal visual of the group—looking stunning by the way—you've been training for a long time. Tell us about how it's shaped you as a performer? Has your lengthy training time effected your role in You&You? Any fond memories?”

“Looking stunning? Don’t flatter me, please. Although, to get on point—I’ve been training since I was thirteen years old… I mean, I’ve grown to love music, performing, dancing, and singing. Being under this program definitely showed me how to stay disciplined and put in my best effort into everything I do. Honestly…the amount of years that had me training is something that makes me wonder: am I supposed to be better than the others? This question comes up time to time when I mess a rehearsal session, but the honest answer to that question is that everyone works differently. I don’t always have to beat myself up for not doing the best and try to compare myself. But aside from that drop, the many fond memories during rehearsals are always the best. We don’t even get rehearsals done because we’re too busy laughing and fooling around which makes my day ten times better than it was before. I really couldn’t have asked to be put in another group.”

VEN’S FAVORITE…

“Outfits. The outfits are insanely amazing; I can’t wait for you guys to see! And the different hair styles, the contacts—the makeup! It’ll be perfect for the Me’nus—and you—but! I’m excited for what you’re bound to see on the music video. I mustn’t say more… Someone’s out to get me—but stay turned and don’t blink when you’re watching the music video!”

“Gosh! Next thing you know You&You is going to be on vogue! Can't wait to see these fashion icons take the big stage! Give it up for the visual of You&You; Venus!”

"Lulu! Main vocalist of the group here; how does it feel to sing every time in the vocal booth? You've been in the industry for many years—one of the longest trainees alongside Ven. Tell me, how is your trainee years treating you? Does it get simpler overtime?"

"even after 13 years of training, i still get nervous every time, like i might mess up, but.. i think that feeling just means i care. having ven by my side all these years really helped me through it though, we grew together, supported each other, and that made everything feel a little less overwhelming! i’m still nervous, but now i know i’m not facing it alone. especially with my you&you babies"

LULU’S FAVORITE…

“You guys haven’t debuted as a group yet, have you? Well—tell me, as the main vocalist, Lulu, what can the fans expect musically? What can the Me’nus expect from You&You’s live performances?”

"we haven’t debuted yet, but i think what people will hear from us is something really heartfelt and comforting. our music leans toward gentle, melodic songs that highlight emotion and vocals, (perfect for me!) but there’s also this cheerful energy that makes it feel approachable and sincere. as for our performances, they’re not just about being perfect.. they’re about feeling real. we want me’nus to feel like they’re right there with us sharing those small moments! and to show that even a soft, bright image can leave a strong impression."

“That sounds incredible! You can’t keep us waiting. We’re waiting for those vocals to show! Our vocalist of You&You, everyone; Lulu!”

“So, Nellie, leader of the group—how did you find yourself in this position? We know you were a former ballerina; what made you join the Kpop industry?”

“In complete honesty, I was fully prepared to spend the rest of my life dancing ballet on stage! That was until some oshi stars productions scouters actually arrived at my academy. At that point, of course I didn't know they were attached to the company yet. They went around watching everyone practice and I suppose they must've saw some sort of star quality in me. After the day was over, they stopped me and had me fill out a form. Truly, I didn't think much of it as I imagined it to be kind of a joke or a scam until a few days later when they asked to fly me to company headquarters. From then on, I kind of just went with the process and I must say it's been completely worth it! It's been such an honor to train alongside my members and other oshi stars trainees. Plus, the ability to branch out into or return to other genres of dance has been a blast!”

“Now, we know that You&You haven’t debuted yet, but you guys are in the recording studio, aren’t you? Dancing and all that? What can you tell your fans—the Me’nus, as the leader, to expect? Give us a sneak peak on what it's like to lead such a talented group.”

“Well, I wouldn't want to give too much away, would I? The concept of our group definitely leans into a sweeter, more youthful visual that can be characterized by a genuine and approachable energy. This can be seen with the bows, our group greeting that directly references the next door neighbor type of energy, all the pink and red tones around. Dare I say coquette? Anyways, I'm sure all of our Me'nu's will get plenty of time to get to know all of us individually after debut. I certainly have gained quite a lot of grey hairs just being around the bunch. It's such a fun group but someone has to rein them in when needed, you know? Or else we'd all be too busy goofing around to practice for debut! As the ribbons, all of our personalities mesh so well together that off stage there's a lot of controlled chaos. However, as the leader, I have to warn everyone. We might seem cute and cuddly on stage, but off of it? We sure can have some fun like a group of gremlins if we want to! While for me? There's a lot more to uncover past the surface of just being the leader.”
