If two characters are meant to say platonic friends and not a couple, DON’T CONTINUOUSLY HINT AT THEM GETTING TOGETHER.

When they decide to stay friends, DON’T WRITE OFF THEIR PREVIOUS FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER AS THE RESULT OF SOME SORT OF MAGIC OUTSIDE FORCE.

I hate this. I hate this because this episode was apex will they won’t they teasing, showing us how good romantic Starco would be before taking it away from us once again for who know how many episodes, but it’s still SO GOOD. It makes me feel SO MANY THINGS. The dorks are literally alone with their love in this scene, dancing in their memories, and they’re are at their happiest, and the thought of losing it is painful. 

I genuinely despise the show for going the way it’s going, for thinking that giving Star and Marco this kind of happiness now, instead of just giving them and us a short-lived taste, would have somehow made the show less appealing to most. For thinking that the will they won’t they tension is the only interesting thing about these two.  But I can’t not love the show for having created and nurtured two characters who makes me feel all these emotions. And I’ll still be overjoyed when they finally get together, and they can FINALLY feel like this all the time.
