How to Not Spread Nonconsensual Sexual Images on Tumblr
Just take a second to click on the image source:
Are there links, titles, performer names, tags indicating that the original poster created the content and shared it willingly? Perfect! Itβs probably consensual! Share that shit.
Is the original poster a blog dedicated to posting other peopleβs stolen porn? Not consensual.
Donβt know whose body that is? Donβt share it!Β
Is your dash full of unsourced (stolen) porn? Simple fix: Unfollow porn theives and follow original creators instead!Β
It is not normal to share and spread images of other peopleβs bodies without their explicit consent.Β Thank you for checking your reblogs to help make tumblr and the world in general a safer and more consent-oriented place!
This needs to be shouted from the roof-tops
I really wish that we lived in a society where we were taught to identify stolen or fake content versus genuine content. It's one of the most important skills in the internet age, but we aren't taught it, and everyone wonders why identity theft and scams are so prevalent. But I guess it'd also mean people can see right through advertising campaigns, and that'd make the numbers sad.
