Imagine a sparse dressing room, backstage at one of Armie’s latest Broadway plays. Imagine him sitting there, slightly down because they are doing a show on Christmas Eve, and while he loves performing—this show making him happier than he’s been in a long time—he’s a little bummed to be away from friends and family. Imagine the little stuffed reindeer the kid of one of his costars gave him and some twinkle lights half haphazardly thrown around the top of the vanity as the only decorations in the room, and of course the green clump of something over the doorway that Armie thinks is mistletoe, but can’t be quite sure as it looks like it’s been hanging there for decades. Imagine Armie getting dressed for the matinee when there’s a soft knock on the door and answering it to find Timmy standing outside of it, wrapped in a sweater and curls buried in a hat, his cheeks pink from the cold, brandishing a gift bag with a cheery Santa on it and yelling “Surprise! Merry Christmas!” and Armie yelling “Holy shit I thought you were in Europe with your family!” while pulling Timmy into a hug as Timmy says “You ARE my family” and squeezes him right back. Imagine Armie pulling back, marveling at how good it feels to have Timmy in his arms, thinking of the mistletoe right above them and saying “Oh Fuck it!” before swooping his head down to plant a brief chaste peck on Timmy’s lips. Imagine Timmy’s surprised face as Armie sheepishly says “It’s tradition” and points above them, and then Timmy smirking and saying “Well, if it’s tradition” before dropping his gift bag to the floor, grabbing Armie’s shirt and planting a not so chaste kiss on his lips, one that involves tongues and heat and ends up with Timmy pushed up against the wall, one leg hiked up and wound around Armie’s hip, hair mussed and shirt askew, panting heavily. Imagine Armie pulling back, lips pink and swollen and feeling dazed, all he can think to say is “Well fucking Merry Christmas to me” as Timmy giggles and pulls him back in for another kiss.
