“Oh, is that what you think?” She’d argue that Finn and Rose are the easiest to get along with, but she won’t try to fight him on it while they’re at peace. “I’ll remember that the next time you damage the Falcon and try to brush it off.” She half-jokes, chuckling as she looks ahead.  “Promise? I can’t have anyone thinking we actually get along. That’s how rumors start.”

poe just rolled his eyes. “ i’m delightful, ” he added. “ with my expert skills, pssh, ” he shook his head, both of them knowing full well that he was reckless at times.

“That would have been nice, but I’m just glad we got a taste.” Freshly cooked meals are still a new concept to her, as she had survived solely on portions and MRE rations prior to her time with the Resistance. She still finds herself eating MRE rations more often than not because of how unpredictable the war is. There’s not a lot of time to cook and Rey certainly doesn’t have the skill set necessary to do so. “Not coming from someone like that. I don’t think the name is very appealing either.”  “It’s nice to not be at each other’s throats for once. How long do you think it’ll last?” 

poe was a decent cook himself. picked up a few things from his dad, who had clearly been the more domestic one of his parents. not that he got to break the skills out very often it also wasn’t something he publicized. didn’t exactly fit with his image, which he cared more about than he may admit.

“ yeah, anything with death in it is usually a no-go for me, ” he joked with a laugh. “ even though it did sound kinda badass. ”

“I’ll give you that. It did look welcoming.” They had been fine while they dined on exotic foods. It’s when they came across a couple of shady people trying to sell them something called a death stick. “The food was amazing! I’ve never had a thing quite like it.”  “What is a death stick, Poe?”
