What was the moment you started shipping ScarNash?

For me, I did not like the Duke pretty much from the beginning, so I wasn’t invested in that relationship. When they introduced Patrick, I really liked his chemistry with Eliza. By the end of Season 2, when he’s in the hospital and he thanks her for visiting him, I was really seeing the possibility. BUT the MOMENT for me is the following:

Hotel St Marc is a perfect episode, but the moment I said “this is my ship” was when Eliza and Patrick sit down to talk about the case. Eliza is offering the possibility that neither of them have the right fugitive or they both have the right person. They’re stuck. Patrick leans over and says “so what do you suggest?”

BOOM. Over for me. A man who respects and asks for your opinion while wearing a snazzy outfit with a cool cane? The tone in which he speaks?? Incredible, more please. Then of course it only gets better by the end of the episode, and episode 6 of season 3 has more moments and all of season 4…lol. But the “what do you suggest” is my ScarNash moment. What’s yours?!

story time that I think fellow ScarNash shippers will find funny:

One time I was re watching the Miss Scarlet episode "The Fugative" (as one does) and during the scene where Patrick meets Eliza to try to persuade her to drop the case, my Dad came into the room, watched that entire scene with pretty much zero context (besides vaguely knowing the premise of the show and that i watched it) and asked me if those two characters were romantically involved...

I did NOT know what to say to him 😂

Chapter summary: Patrick and Eliza survive the first dinner. Patrick spends most of the evening observing things about Eliza rather than anyone else, and then they have to get ready to sleep in their shared room. At least, Patrick wants to go to sleep. Eliza wants to solve the case.

what are you Scarnash rewatch habits? At the beginning, I was watching the Scarnash episodes from seasons 2-4 pretty much on a loop. I never really integrated Season 5 (even though I like the scene at the end of the first episode with them playing cards) and I've still only watched the goodbye episode in Season 5 a couple times. Season 5 almost seasons noncanonical to me- even when I first watched it, Eliza and Patrick seemed out of character.

Hotel St Marc is a comfort rewatch (I watch when I'm sick or overwhelmed), and then I like putting on Angel of Inferno or The Diamond Father or the Calling for fun (usually Angel of Inferno).
