yooo lets be clear here. taylor lied like legitimately straight up LIED and now she’s paying the price for it. she should have just owned up to her actions cause now she looks bad both ways. but kanye’s lyrics are still dirty and misogynistic. it’s fucked up that taylor agreed to that and even more fucked up that she lied about it, but perhaps they shouldn’t even have been written in the first place.

I just don’t think Taylor understands why people are upset with her. I get it, she didn’t know he was going to refer to her as “that bitch” and of course that’s going to make her feel bad. But she added so much fuel to the fire. The Grammys speech had us all thinking she disapproved of the whole song, not two words of it. She let us make fools out of ourselves by backing her up and praising her for not letting someone undermine her success, when she gave Kanye permission to say he made her famous. The biggest problem here isn’t the “that bitch” line. Like I said, I understand why she would be hurt by that, but she can’t possibly believe she didn’t make this worse.
