If you can’t think of one what’s a trope you’d like to see more of? (You can answer both if you’d like no pressure)

I always want more Destiel like everyone of course but I would also enjoy more Dean/Benny, though I saw them as friends when I was watching the show. I do like that Benny never betrayed Dean and I think it means a lot to Dean. But Dean would be the one betraying him for Cas, you know.

I would enjoy more of Dean, Cas and Crowley together but like in a chaotic way, just like episode 9x10 and that cut scene where Cas and Crowley sit on a bed in a motel room watching TV and the other cut scene when they fight about who's Dean's boyfriend. Cas and Crowley's bickering is so funny and delicious because they can be so jealous about each other for Dean's attention. I just love it.

And as for a trope, I would love more slow burn. I know that show was already a slow burn. But I want more. Because apparently I like to suffer. Though I love oneshots where they have wild sex and tender touches together, I love the waiting and the longing. I want to read about every step of the way before it finally switches and one of the kiss the other. I want to read about something so slow that it's perfectly natural when they are finally together. And the angst just before that makes it even more delicious.

I’d definitely say I’d love to see more Rufus Turner stories. I loved the flashback episode with him and Bobby. I’d love to see him interact more with the boys and Bobby over the years had they all lived. His humor and brashness was always a favorite of mine.

As for trope Angst with a happy ending is my bread and butter but I adore a time travel story. I’ll give any time travel story a shot quickly. It can be silly or serious but I love it

Writing this fanfic was more of an experiment then really a hobby of mine. I was curious to see how the creation process goes and if, even if Im not a writer, I could actually create a storyline that makes sense. Everything in this fic was a first time experience and it ended up being 5 chapters long with 19k words.

I waited to answer because I needed to find that damn fic and I did, but it was so random. I saw a post about this particular trope and someone mentioned it in the comments. It's like destiny or whatever. I mean, what were the chances?

Anyway, I wasn't a fan of wing fics. But one fic changed my mind about it, it's called The Soul Burns Brighter Than The Sun and I highly recommend it!

I also wasn't a fan of AUs. I'm not talking about Canon divergent, I'm talking about completely different universes. But I've changed my mind about that by actually writing one about summer vacations called Summer Paradise, my first "long" fic at the time. Since that I wrote more AUs and I read and enjoy them too 😊

I absolutely adore The Soul Burns Brighter than the Sun!!! It was one of the first fics I found coming into this fandom and you’re totally right. The wing fic and grace😫 portrayed so well in this.

I love Crowley but he was good in the end. So maybe it doesn't work and same for Rowena and Mick.

And since you said Controversial characters are included, I'd say Naomi because she did so much for the Destiel community lol and she simply did her job, which was protecting Heaven. Using controversial ways sure, but still.

Also I hesitated with Dick Roman because same, the guy was just trying to help his kind to survive in this World. And he just wanted to do to humans what we do to animals. He's smart because he understood how the human world worked, with money, so he tried to build an empire, which makes sense somehow. He was a business man leviathan. And don't blame me for that please, but I loved the dick jokes 😅

So in my long fic, I present the idea of Naomi’s redemption only because who better to torture angels than another angel who’s been severely tortured too. The whole “Hurt People, Hurt People” kind of thing but not really because it’s still Chucks doing.

I don’t think she should get an easy break but what if she was just as curious and rebellious as Cas was at some point and Chuck sick of it all made a tool for correction, he wasn’t gonna waste his precious time hacking away at his angels he’d just take the one besides Cas who was getting on his damn nerves. Wipe her mind/grace completely and for her job/punishment enact the torture to her brethren, make her sole focus that, so she never can see the light of day, give her an office with bisexual lighting perhaps as a token of what she can’t have 👀

Wasn’t there mention from Crowley that he had something with her before??? (Or am I making that up?)

Anyway, as much as I loathe Naomi and the torture she enacted I found myself seeing her as another victim of Chucks machinations. Not gonna spoil the story line I gave her in my fic but she does get her memory back by some great power and she mourns everything she did and all she lost.

You're not making that up, it did happen and they are crazy like that. Actually I wanted to know more about this! She at least kisses him to make a deal I'm sure but probably more than just kiss.

Like every angel, she's a victim. Actually like every beings. What's that fic of yours?

"You know it's hard to focus with those things doing whatever they are doing." Dean shoots, eyeing the wings. "It's like they are looking at me or something." Dean frowns.

"That's not possible." Cas replies, looking away.

"You know it's weird, they don't always move." Sam notices. "When I -"

"Sam, the more urgent matter is to find the witch who did this not to know what my wings do or don't do." Cas cuts him, squinting his eyes as he throws a look at the younger brother.

"You're right, Cas." Dean pats his shoulder and suddenly Cas's wings start glowing. "What the Hell!" Dean lets out, freaked out and taking a step back. His hand leaves Cas and the wings stop glowing.

"I think it's reacting to you, Dean." Sam observes, approaching. He takes Dean's arm and puts Dean's hand back on Cas's shoulder. The wings glow instantly. "You see." Sam smiles proudly for figuring it out.

"Cas, are you doing this?" Dean asks curiously but not freaked out anymore, he lets his hand on Cas even Sam doesn't hold his arm anymore. He takes his time to contemplate Cas's glowing wings. "Is this your grace?" He dares to ask.

"Not on purpose and yes." Cas simply replies. Seconds ago he wished they wouldn't see his wings, but now he's not sure with how Dean looks at them.

"Why is it reacting to me?" Dean wonders, removing his hand resulting in no glowing anymore.

"I think my grace is reacting to your soul, it recognizes it." Cas lies. He notices Dean's confused frown. "From when I gripped your soul out of Hell." He adds, and it's not really a full lie. Cas's grace is reacting to Dean's soul due to that profound bond. And also because of it, Cas loves Dean so much that his wings flap when he's near and glows when he touches him.

"Right." Dean understands, eyes glued to Cas's.

"So get this." Sam interrupts. "I think I've found our witch." Sam waves proudly for them to see what's on his laptop.

My opinion about the work:

Featuring a lot of tension, bickering and the reformulation of some fabulous scenes from the series itself (including one of our favorites, the one in the alley), I find myself really liking it.

I'm not usually drawn to soulmates AU, but this short piece has a special kind of aproach to the idea that just makes it very natural. It has a more informal style of writing that I, personally, am very fond of.

If you like creature Cas, this fic highlights his non-human aspects really well.
