When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. It’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged. It’s up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.

At any given moment, we are able to choose how we spend our energy. We can either focus on the past, present, or the future; what has been, what is, or what is to come. Avoid giving too much energy to the past, for what has happened, has happened, and you mustn’t allow for it to pull you back from the greatness that is still yet to come.

Now listen here, I’m going to give you all a piece of advice because it’s too late for this guy. Here’s what I recommend to you. If you have someone that you think is the one … take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel all around the world and go to places that are hard to go to and hard to get out of. And if when you come back to JFK and you’re still in love with that person, get married at the airport.
