Love is patient. 

I have a super hero mindset. I’m always trying to save the day. When someone needs help I want to be the one they run to. When an issue arises I want to be the one who has the answer. I want to have the best ideas, the best outcomes, the best most perfect idealistic earth shattering life changing inspire the soul take your breathe away persona. And with that, it is my own kryptonite. I am not a super hero. I am not responsible for saving people. I am not responsible for being the image of hope. Retire the cape, let the S on my chest fade away, let me come down from the sky because I admit, I do not fly. It’s time I work on saving myself. It is time that I stop standing like a super hero and realize I have much more to learn, much more to do, much more to strengthen. I don’t want to be a Wonder Woman, rather I wander more and explore my mind and what my heart wants. I don’t want to be a Super Woman, rather be a superb woman who holds my chin high in the face of adversity and allows vulnerability to open my soul to change.

So much change is ahead of me this year. I don’t even know what I’m feeling.

The holidays were always something I would look forward to. But this year I’m just so ambivalent towards it.
